In 2023, won the prestigious Premju għall-Arti awarded by Arts Council Malta for Best International Achievement as part of a collective. He was also a finalist for the Artist of the Year Award and Best International Achievement in a solo capacity.
Matthew was the for the at the Art Biennale 2019 and the Creative Lead for the Maltese Pavilion at the 2023 and has thus developed a keen into the international scene.
