Beauty Team

Long before MUSTA opened, we were already cooking.

For almost two years, working out of the original Beauty Team premises, we prepared ready-made meals for clients with full days and no time to shop, cook and plan.

People wanted to eat well. What they didn't have was an hour on a Tuesday evening.

Chicken and rosemary. Salmon and flat beans. Couscous, tomato, herbs. Cooked in batch, portioned, ready to refrigerate.

That is where this kitchen came from. Not from a restaurant idea — from a practical problem.

How a plan from next door becomes lunch on Tuesday

Josephine is a slimming client at Beauty Team She started ten weeks ago the way everyone does — sitting down with Antonella for a body analysis consultation. Her work, her family, and what was already in the diary for the weeks ahead.

Out of that comes a plan. What she eats, how much, and when.

That plan is where Beauty Team's work ends and ours begins.

It reaches the MUSTA kitchen as a specification. Not a menu — a set of requirements. We turn it into food. Real food, cooked properly, that a person actually wants to eat on a Tuesday evening.

Then it gets a label with her name on it, and a bag by the door.

Over the next few posts we'll show you what her ten weeks looked like from this side of the wall.

Every restaurant has a story. This one didn't start with a restaurant.

It started in 2003, when Antonella Sammut Vella opened Beauty Team with a single idea — helping people look and feel their best.

Over the years it became more than a salon. Everything that followed, including this kitchen, grew out of that first room at Elementi Boutique Hotel & Spa
