If you regularly order from me, you already know that I go WAY beyond what is required for my clients.

I’ll discuss your cake for ages.
Change the model 15 times. 😂
Edit your picture.
Change the background.
Adjust the brightness.
Send it back to you.
Change it again.
Send another version.
Sometimes even prepare sample visuals — especially when you’re ordering at the last minute — just so you can actually see what we’re creating and feel confident about the quality.

And guess what?

I don’t charge you for all of that.

Because I’ve always considered these little extras part of giving my clients a good experience. ❤️

And if after all those hours you decide, “Actually, I won’t be ordering,” — absolutely fine! 😂

You’re not obligated to buy from me.
Your budget is your budget.
Another baker may suit you better.
No hard feelings whatsoever.

When I spend my time editing and creating a visual specifically for you, and you then take MY edited picture and send it to another baker to recreate…

Then proudly post the result on your story…

That’s where I need to take a little pause.

Because there’s a difference between:

“Your price is outside my budget, so I’ll go elsewhere.”

and

“Your price is outside my budget, so let me take the design work you just did for me for FREE and give it to someone else.” 😂

I mean… at least let me know I’m working as a free graphic designer too. 🤣

I don’t mind people choosing other bakers. Seriously.

But using the exact visual that I took the time to create, without asking or even informing me, and then showcasing the recreated cake like nothing happened?

That feels pretty disrespectful.

It’s basically:

🌈 Rainbow In A Box: “Let me spend an hour creating this visual for you.”
Client: “Thank youuuu 🥰”
Also client: sends it to another baker 👀
Other baker: makes it
Client: posts it proudly
Me: 🙂 …interesting.

😂😂😂

So, lesson learnt.

I will STILL continue editing pictures free of charge.
But going forward, edited visuals will be provided ONE TIME, FOR VALIDATION PURPOSES ONLY.

Because apparently, some of us needed a reminder that free does not mean ownerless. 😂

Choose whoever you want. Stay within whatever budget works for you. Support whoever you love.

Just please respect the time, creativity and work behind the visuals you receive from me.

I’m a designer, editor, customer service representative, delivery coordinator, therapist and apparently now… free creative consultant for competing bakers. 🤣🤣🤣
