He’s here. 🇲🇾
Steven Mead has officially arrived in Malaysia — and in just two days, one of the world’s most celebrated euphonium soloists takes the stage with Seri Puteri Winds.
For generations of brass musicians, Steven is a name they grew up listening to, learning from and aspiring towards. On Saturday, that inspiration becomes something real: sharing one stage with a young Malaysian ensemble celebrating 50 years of musical legacy.
If you’ve ever wondered what the euphonium can really do, this is the concert to find out.

🇲🇾 This Hari Malaysia, we celebrate the cultures, communities and stories that make our nation what it is — diverse in identity, yet stronger together. At Rondo, we believe music reflects that same spirit: bringing people together across backgrounds, generations and borders to listen, create and belong.
Selamat Hari Malaysia from all of us at Rondo Production. 🇲🇾🎶
You’ve heard the soundtrack.
But have you heard it in BRASS? 👀🎺✨

He almost became a doctor. Instead, he became a conductor. 🎼 Turns out, he thinks the two jobs aren’t that different.
For Seri Puteri Winds’ conductor, conducting is also about people: analysing problems, finding solutions, building trust and helping a group move forward together. After 50 years of Seri Puteri Winds, those moments, the rehearsals, the challenges, the musicians who come and go, become part of something much bigger.
And this September 19, another rare moment joins that story: Steven Mead. Live in Malaysia.
For many euphonium and wind musicians, this may genuinely be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear one of the instrument’s great icons from just metres away.
