DROBOTEX 2026 Ignites Young Minds in Technology

A total of 2,283 students, youth and STEM enthusiasts gathered at Ang Cheng Ho Multipurpose Hall, Batu Kawa to explore drones, robotics and emerging technologies on the first day of DROBOTEX 2026.

The day featured hands-on activities that encouraged creativity, problem-solving and engineering thinking among participants. DROBOTEX 2026 also provided a platform for young people to discover technology applications and engage with opportunities in drones, robotics and innovation.

Seramai 2,283 pelajar, belia dan peminat STEM hadir di Ang Cheng Ho Multipurpose Hall, Batu Kawa pada hari pertama DROBOTEX 2026 untuk meneroka dunia dron, robotik serta teknologi baharu.

Pelbagai aktiviti secara langsung memberi ruang kepada peserta untuk mencetuskan idea, mengasah kemahiran menyelesaikan masalah dan membina pemikiran kejuruteraan. DROBOTEX 2026 turut membuka peluang kepada golongan muda untuk mengenali aplikasi teknologi serta meneroka bidang dron, robotik dan inovasi.

SK Nanga Skrang Discovers Technology Opportunities at TEGAS

25 September 2026 – TEGAS welcomed 28 students and teachers from SK Nanga Skrang to TEGAS Digital Village, introducing them to TEGAS’ role in expanding access to technology, innovation and opportunities for Sarawakian communities.

Through an interactive exhibition, students gained hands-on exposure to digital technologies while building curiosity, problem-solving skills and confidence to explore STEM and innovation.

SK Nanga Skrang Terokai Peluang Teknologi di TEGAS

25 September 2026 – TEGAS menerima kunjungan seramai 28 murid dan guru dari SK Nanga Skrang ke TEGAS Digital Village bagi mengenali peranan TEGAS dalam memperluas akses kepada teknologi, inovasi dan peluang untuk komuniti Sarawak.

Melalui pameran interaktif, para murid mendapat pendedahan hands-on kepada teknologi digital serta membina rasa ingin tahu, kemahiran menyelesaikan masalah dan keyakinan untuk meneroka STEM serta inovasi.

TEGAS Landing Pads - EntreMission: Ho Chi Minh City.

Seven startups took on Vietnam’s dynamic market through the TEGAS Landing Pads Programme - EntreMission: Ho Chi Minh City. Partially supported by TEGAS, these startups spent 4 days diving deep into market access, building cross border connections, and unlocking enterprise opportunities across Southeast Asia as part of this pilot programme.

A big shoutout to the startups that participated in this programme: Realfun Academy Sdn. Bhd., SOL Digital Sdn. Bhd., Opah Delitaste Enterprise, FutureLab, Blankskript Consultants Sdn. Bhd., Etika Saingan Sdn. Bhd., and Let’z Play Therapy.

From exploring VC landscapes with Ascend Vietnam Ventures to deep diving into local market distribution and vertical specific ecosystems, these founders actively explored market access, gained invaluable local insights, and identified potential expansion opportunities for their businesses.

Day 2: CRADLE LIVE! ROADSHOW SARAWAK 2026

Cradle LIVE! Roadshow Sarawak 2026 successfully concluded its Miri stop today at Curtin University Malaysia.

Cradle, together with TEGAS, were thrilled to facilitate a day dedicated to bigger conversations and bolder possibilities for the local startup ecosystem. With the core goal of exploring how to build and scale from Sarawak, the event featured a comprehensive agenda covering research, growth and funding.

A highlight was the welcome address by Norman Matthieu Vanhaecke, Group CEO of Cradle, which set a forward-thinking tone for the day.

The sessions included in-depth panel discussions on converting university research into commercial success, strategic growth pathways, and navigating the funding landscape through Cradle Grants and the MYStartup platform.

Thank you to Cradle and Curtin University Malaysia for the collaboration. Together, we are building a robust and sustainable foundation for entrepreneurs across the state.

Day 1: CRADLE LIVE! ROADSHOW SARAWAK 2026

Hosted by Cradle in partnership with TEGAS, CRADLE LIVE! Roadshow Sarawak 2026 made its first stop in Bintulu today at TEGAS Digital Innovation Hub.

We were thrilled to share how TEGAS supports Sarawak’s digital growth through our hubs, programmes, and startup initiatives. During the session, Cradle gave founders clear, direct guidance on accessing national funding like the CIP Spark and CIP Sprint grants, as well as the MYStartup platform.

To top it all off, entrepreneurs sat down for exclusive 1-on-1 consultations with TEGAS and Cradle advisors to explore grant eligibility, and map out their next moves. Thank you Bintulu for an awesome start! See you on to the next stop!

TEGAS Supports Sarawak Media Workshop 2026

21 September 2026 | TEGAS Digital Village served as the strategic venue for Sarawak Media Workshop 2026 in conjunction of Sarawak Media Conference, organised by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS).

The Opening Ceremony was officiated by YB Datuk Abdullah bin Haji Saidol, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and State Public Communication Unit) and Secretary of the TEGAS Board of Trustees, alongside TEGAS CEO Tuan Haji Udin bin Bujang and invited guests.

The workshop strengthened participants’ capabilities in storytelling, photojournalism, Mobile Journalism (MoJo), creative writing and AI, supporting digital talent development through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

TEGAS Sokong Bengkel Media Sarawak 2026

21 September 2026 | TEGAS Digital Village menjadi lokasi strategik bagi Bengkel Media Sarawak 2026 sempena Sarawak Media Conference, anjuran Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak - UKAS.

Majlis pembukaan telah disempurnakan oleh YB Datuk Abdullah bin Haji Saidol, Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Premier Sarawak (Hal Ehwal Korporat, Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak) dan Setiausaha Lembaga Pemegang Amanah TEGAS, bersama Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif TEGAS, Tuan Haji Udin bin Bujang, serta tetamu jemputan.

Bengkel ini memperkukuh kemahiran peserta dalam penceritaan, kewartawanan foto, Mobile Journalism (MoJo), penulisan kreatif dan AI, selaras dengan usaha memperkasa bakat digital melalui kolaborasi dan perkongsian ilmu.
