Meet our new baby ducklings!🐥💕
We welcomed a batch of Muscovy ducklings into our farm last week. They're only one week old, but they already love to eat, love to drink water, and when we introduced watermelon as a treat, they couldn't get enough of it! 🍉
These ducklings are so adorable and so entertaining. We could watch them all day, better than Netflix! 😂

“What are you planting?”
This is the question we get asked the most.
Right now, our first priority is to reviving and enriching the soil, raise animals, composting, make biochar, and build a healthy ecosystem. But at the same time, we’re growing whatever we can.
We save seeds from the fruits we eat, propagate leftover herb stems, and revive old plants.
These papaya seeds were saved from a fruit we ate just a few months ago. We scraped out the seeds, washed them, let them dry, and planted them. Now they’re growing beautifully. Nature is incredibly abundant! 🌱
A day at the farm. It's not pretty but it's necessary.
Our family has been following a keto / carnivore lifestyle for the past year, and this has become one of our weekly staples!

Meet Yogi, the newest member of our family! 😺❤️
We decided to adopt a second cat because Lumi was getting pretty lonely, with lots of excess energy that we could hardly keep up with! 😅
In came Yogi. As soon as we set foot in the cat shelter, this tiny handsome cat came right up to us, asking for hugs and kisses. No other cats did this. His eyes were bright and shiny, and they reminded me of Lumi.
We heard from the shelter that he had been abused in the past and rescued by them. This is possibly why he has a crooked tail. Right there and then, he picked us, and we chose him. We named him Yogi for his loving manners and his twisted tail.
Introducing Yogi to Lumi was no easy feat. Lumi was pretty stressed and would always hiss at Yogi. They are actually very opposite in personalities.
Lumi is very active, bossy, and very loud. Yogi is the most gentle, affectionate cat, with the softest and quietest meows.
We kept them in separate rooms, then swapped items, swapped rooms, and eventually let them meet. After a few days, Lumi started feeling more comfortable, and they played together a few times. Just today, we even saw them sleeping close to each other!
More time is definitely needed for them to bond, but I know they are going to be best friends for life.
Life at the farm is definitely getting very lively :)
