Hope Place

𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆

Once again, a social worker from Hospital Sentosa🏥 has referred mentally disabled out-patients to Hope Place Kuching, requesting more support. He and his sister live together at Jalan Wan Alwi.

He was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He mannerism is mild and quiet. His sister, on the other hand, was diagnosed by doctors with bipolar disorder five years ago. After their parents passed away many years ago, she is the sole caretaker for him😔.

Although both siblings are independent and do everything by themselves, their home is very messy. Living in this poor condition, both siblings seldom go out. Her sister goes out once in a while to buy household necessities📦.

Without any savings or generating any income, the two siblings only depend on welfare aid. Hope Place is supporting both of them with supplies of basic food aid continuously📦💕🥫.

患有精神兄妹生活贫困

Hospital Sentosa🏥 的社工转介两名精神患者至古晋希望之家，并寻求进一步的援助。这对兄妹目前同住在 Jalan Wan Alwi。

哥哥被诊断患有Schizophrenia，平时表现温和、安静。妹妹则在五年前被医生诊断患有Bipolar Disorder。多年前父母相继离世后，妹妹便独自承担起照顾哥哥的责任😔。

虽然兄妹俩都能够自理，独立完成日常生活中的事务，但他们的住家环境相当凌乱。由于长期生活在如此恶劣的环境中，兄妹俩很少外出。妹妹偶尔会出门购买日常生活所需用品📦。

由于没有任何积蓄，也没有收入来源，兄妹俩只能依靠福利援助维持生活。古晋希望之家持续为他们提供基本粮食援助，帮助他们日常所需📦💕🥫。

A man was visited by Hope Place Kuching, after a referral from the social welfare department. He is currently staying in Landeh, had just been discharged from the Heart Hospital in Samarahan🏥.

He has had heart disease since 2020🫀. He underwent angioplasty, during that time, four of his arteries were blocked. He also suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes.

He used to be a motorcycle salesman🏍️ and later started a home-based business, selling household electrical appliances. However, when his health deteriorated, business slowed down drastically. A lot of their savings were spent on his medical bills.

He also just received news that his application for social welfare has been approved and he will receive RM300 soon. With so many expenses like house instalment, utilities, and medical bills, every cent is crucial. Hope Place is supporting him with basic food aid until he is able to stand on his two feet again, financially📦🥫💕.

心脏病男子独自生活

希望之家接获社会福利局的转介后，前往探访这名男子。他住在 Landeh，刚刚从三马拉汉心脏专科医院出院🏥。

他从 2020年开始患有心脏疾病🫀，并曾接受心脏血管成形术。当时有 4条心血管阻塞。此外，他也患有高血压和糖尿病。

他曾从事摩托车销售工作🏍️，后来在家中经营小生意，售卖家用电器。然而，随着健康状况恶化，生意也大幅减少。过去的积蓄大多都花在医疗费用上。

最近，他也收到好消息，社会福利援助申请已经获批准，即将获得 RM300 的援助。面对房屋贷款、水电费以及医疗费用等各种开销，每一分钱对他来说都非常重要。希望之家目前为他提供基本粮食援助，希望在他逐渐恢复、能够重新站稳脚步之前，给予他一些支持与帮助📦🥫💕。

𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗮, 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗺, 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗿

Though still in her late 40s, she👩‍🦰 has already been blessed with a beautiful grandson. She lives with her two adult daughters and grandson at Semariang Batu.

She used to work at a coffee shop, earning a daily salary. She quit her job earlier this year when her grandson was born👶.

The mother of the baby is the eldest daughter and suffers from postnatal depression when her baby was born. The second daughter is the sole breadwinner in the family. Working part-time in a clothing store, she is hoping to get a cleaner’s job she just applied💪.

Her grandson has health problems. The baby boy was diagnosed with a bacterial infection in his brain when he was born. The baby boy is currently being treated with alternative treatment of antibiotic. The family lives in a squalid, old wooden house. Because of being too near the river and rotten wood planks everywhere, its condition has deteriorated to the point of being dangerous🏚️.

Hope Place is thankful to Klinik Kesihatan Petrajaya social worker for referring her plight to them. Hope Place is supporting the family with basic food aid and baby formula to baby📦💕🥫.

祖孙三代同住破旧危房，单亲家庭生活困苦

虽然年近40岁，这位婆婆👩‍🦰已经拥有了一位可爱的外孙。她与两名女儿及外孙一同居住在Semariang Batu。

她过去在咖啡店工作，以日薪维持生计。今年年初，外孙出生后，家中只有她照顾刚出生的婴儿👶。

婴儿的母亲是家中的大女儿。孩子出生后，她患上了产后抑郁症，目前无法工作。二女儿则是家中唯一的经济支柱，目前在一家服装店兼职工作，同时也希望能够成功获得她刚申请的清洁工作，以改善家庭的经济状况💪。

小男孩出生时也被诊断患有脑部细菌感染，目前正在接受抗生素等替代治疗。
这个家庭居住在一间破旧的木屋内。由于房屋靠近河边，加上屋内多处木板已经腐烂，房屋状况严重恶化，甚至已经达到危险的程度，居住环境相当恶劣🏚️。

希望之家感谢 Petrajaya Klinik Kesihatan 的社工 将这个家庭的困境转介给我们。目前，希望之家为这个家庭提供基本食物援助，并为小宝宝提供婴儿奶粉，希望减轻他们的生活负担📦💕🥫。

Hope Place Kuching recently visited a family man👨requesting assistance at Kampung Engkeroh, Serian. He suffered a stroke earlier this year and is currently living with his wife and four children.

Earlier in May this year, he had a whole body stroke and was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)🏥 for two weeks. He underwent two surgeries to remove blood clots.

Still recovering, he is no longer bedridden, but is still unable to walk. Using a wheelchair🧑‍🦽, his movement is very limited. No longer on tube feeding, he is able to eat solid food but only mumbles when he tries to talk.

His eldest child rents a room at MJC and works at a café. She is physically disabled and holds a disability card. She is the only person in the family currently helping out financially🫶.

Thankfully, he just received good news that his social welfare aid application has just been approved, which he will be receiving RM500 monthly soon. For the moment, Hope Place is supporting the family with basic food aid and adult diapers for him📦💕🥫.

希望之家最近接获求助，并前往Kampung Engkeroh探访一名需要援助的家庭男士👨。他今年较早时候不幸中风，目前与妻子及四名孩子一起生活。

今年五月，他突然全身中风，并被送入重症监护室（ICU）🏥接受治疗长达两个星期。期间，他进行了两次手术，以清除体内的血块。

目前他仍在康复中，虽然已经不需要长期卧床，但仍然无法行走，只能依靠轮椅活动🧑‍🦽，行动非常受限。他目前已经不需要通过喂食管进食，可以吃固体食物，但尝试说话时只能发出含糊的声音。

他的长女目前在 MJC 租房居住，并在一家咖啡馆工作。她本身患有身体残疾，并持有残疾人士卡，是目前家中唯一能够提供经济援助的成员🫶。

值得庆幸的是，他最近也传来好消息申请的社会福利援助已经获批准，不久后将每月获得 500令吉 的援助金。希望之家将继续为这个家庭提供基本粮食援助及成人纸尿片，以减轻他们的生活负担📦💕🥫。

A regular volunteer of Hope Place Kuching approached Hope Place recently, requesting support for an elderly lady👵 with cancer. Aunty lives at Siburan with her husband and their adult son, and was visited by the Hope Place team immediately after.

Aunty has a cancerous brain tumour🧠 and has been bedridden since last December. Still conscious and able to talk and eat solid food, she is solely taken care of by her husband.

Uncle always tries his best to make sure his wife is comfortable at home. Uncle, probably because of his advanced age, has hearing problems👂, poor eyesight, and knee pain. Despite his poor health condition, Uncle puts his wife’s needs first.

Despite family issues, Uncle is thankful that there are people who show love and concern for him and Aunty. Several church people and neighbours always visit them and offer help in whatever way they can🫶. Even their next door neighbour always offers to fetch Aunty for check-ups at the hospital.

Hope Place is currently supporting the elderly couple with basic food aid and adult diapers for Aunty📦🥫💕.

患脑癌的老妇人

希望之家最近接到一名长期志愿者的求助，希望为一名患癌症的老妇人👵提供援助。希望之家团队随后立即前往Siburan探访这名阿姨。阿姨与丈夫及儿子住。

阿姨患有脑部肿瘤🧠，自去年12月起便卧病在床。虽然行动不便，但她目前仍保持清醒，能够说话，也能够进食固体食物。日常生活主要由丈夫一人照顾。

叔叔一直尽自己最大的努力，让妻子能够在家中得到舒适的照顾。由于年事已高，叔叔本身也面对听力下降👂、视力不佳以及膝盖疼痛等健康问题。尽管自己的身体状况也不理想，叔叔依然把妻子的需要放在第一位。

尽管家庭面对一些困难，叔叔仍然很感恩身边有许多关心和爱护他们的人。教会的朋友和邻居们经常前来探望，并在能力范围内给予帮助🫶。就连隔壁邻居也经常主动帮忙，接送阿姨前往医院复诊。

希望之家正在为这对年长夫妻提供基本粮食援助，并为阿姨提供成人纸尿片，以减轻他们日常生活中的负担📦🥫💕。

A concerned public contacted Hope Place Kuching recently, desperately seeking help for a 🤱single mother with two children. The single mother rents a small room with her son and a baby. Hope Place visited her at MJC shop lot, bringing some basic food aid.

She used to earn a living by selling local ‘kueh’🥟 around MJC shops. However, after giving birth earlier this year, she had temporarily stopped.

She told Hope Place that she has hypoglycaemia, a condition whereby her blood sugar is always very low. Because of her health condition, she always feels dizzy and sometimes feels faint. Unable to frequently monitor her glucose level or eat more nutritious food🍲.

Her son👦, also has his own health issues. He has several health problems, which include kidney problems, severe gastric issues, and high blood pressure.

The only source of income she has now is from the social welfare aid of RM400 per month. Despite her fainting spells and her son's health, she recently started to sell ‘kueh’ again, from time to time, bringing along her son and baby, going from shop to shop🏣.

Hope Place is supporting her and her kids with basic food aid and baby formula📦💕🥫.

失业单亲母亲独自照顾患病孩子

一名热心公众联系了希望之家，为一名单亲母亲及她的两个孩子🤱寻求帮助。这名单亲母亲与儿子和年幼的宝宝一起租住在一个小房间里。希望之家随后前往MJC店屋探访她，并为她送上基本粮食援助。

她过去靠在MJC一带售卖本地糕点（kueh）🥟维持生计。然而，今年初生下宝宝后，她暂时停止了售卖糕点的工作。

她告诉希望之家，自己患有低血糖症，血糖经常处于很低的水平。由于健康状况不佳，她经常感到头晕，有时甚至会出现昏厥的情况。由于经济能力有限，她无法经常监测血糖，也无法摄取更多有营养的食物🍲。

她的儿子👦也面对多项健康问题，包括肾脏问题、严重胃病以及高血压。

她唯一的收入来源是每月RM400的社会福利援助金。尽管自己经常出现晕厥情况，加上儿子也有健康问题，她近期还是重新开始偶尔售卖糕点。她会带着儿子和宝宝，从一家店走到另一家店售卖糕点🏣，以赚取一些生活费。

希望之家目前为她和孩子们提供基本粮食援助及婴儿奶粉，帮助他们度过目前的困难时期📦💕🥫。

A little girl👧 who is unable to play, run, or even talk has prompted Hope Place Kuching to visit her and her family at Samarahan recently. A little girl has suffered from cerebral palsy since she was a toddler. She lives with her mother and grandparents in a rented room.

She has cerebral palsy🧠 and is quadriplegic, which means all her four limbs are paralyzed. Unable to talk, she can only express her feelings through sounds, crying, and laughter. She is also on tube feeding, not being able to eat solid food.

Her mother is a single mother is currently jobless. Her mother used to work in a coffee shop, but lately, when her grandparents' health got worse, she had to stop working in order to take care of three sick persons at home🏡.

With no one working and earning any income in the family, even the monthly aid of RM500 from the social welfare and some financial aid from Baitumal are not enough😔.

Her plight was highlighted by the Sarawak General Hospital’s social worker. Hope Place is supporting her with a reclining wheelchair, children's diapers, and milk powder📦💕🦽.

单亲妈妈照顾患病父母及女儿

一名无法玩耍、奔跑，甚至无法说话的小女孩👧，牵动了希望之家的关注。近日，希望之家前往Samarahan探访这个家庭。

小女孩自幼便患有脑瘫🧠，并属于四肢瘫痪，四肢都无法正常活动。由于无法说话，她只能通过发出声音、哭泣或笑声来表达自己的情绪。她目前也需要通过喂食管进食，无法自行吃固体食物。

她的母亲是一名单亲妈妈，目前没有工作。过去，她曾在咖啡店工作，但近来由于父母的健康状况恶化，她不得不辞去工作，留在家中照顾三名需要照料的家人🏡。

由于家中没有人工作，也没有固定收入，即使每月获得社会福利局提供的RM500援助，以及一些来自慈善机构的经济援助，仍不足以应付一家人的日常生活及照护开销😔。

这名小女孩的家庭情况由砂拉越中央医院的社工转介给希望之家。希望之家目前为她提供可躺式轮椅、儿童尿片及奶粉，希望能够减轻这个家庭的生活负担📦💕🦽。
