Putrajaya: "Sepatutnya ramai yang menyertai suami berbasikal tapi ada yang tidak dapat ikut. Jadi mereka kayuh berdua sahaja," kata wanita dikenali sebagai Shaqira, 30, isteri salah seorang daripada dua lelaki berbasikal yang maut dilanggar sebuah kereta di Kilometer 9.0 Jalan Persiaran Selatan di sini, malam tadi.
Dalam kejadian kira-kira 10.15 malam itu, Mohd Hilmi Tahar, 48, dan Syazwan Zharif Abdul Karim, 30, disahkan maut di lokasi kejadian.
Shaqira berkata, suaminya Syazwan Zharif dan Mohd Hilmi adalah rakan sekerja serta selalu berbasikal bersama.
"Suami selalu berbasikal dengan rakannya itu (Mohd Hilmi) dan pada hari kejadian sepatutnya ramai (rakan lain) tetapi ada yang tidak boleh (sertai) jadi mereka berdua saja (berbasikal semalam).
Kali terakhir saya jumpa saya pada 8.30 malam (sebelum suami keluar untuk berbasikal)," katanya ketika ditemui pemberita di Jabatan Forensik Hospital Putrajaya di sini, hari ini.
Menurutnya, suaminya yang disifatkan sebagai seorang yang ceria, periang, peramah dan mempunyai ramai kawan itu memang minat berbasikal.
Katanya, aktiviti pada hari kejadian itu juga adalah latihan persediaan untuk suaminya menyertai acara Powerman Malaysia dan Lekas Ride 2026.
Dalam pada itu, Shaqira berkata, dia menyerahkan siasatan kes kemalangan menimpa suaminya itu kepada pihak polis.

Jenazah Syazwan Zharif akan dibawa pulang untuk dikebumikan di Kuching, Sarawak dengan urusan membawa pulang jenazah dibantu Rumah Anak Sarawak melalui penerbangan pada 6.25 petang ini.
"Fokus saya sekarang menguruskan jenazah suami dan semua siasatan diserahkan sepenuhnya kepada polis.
Terdahulu, jenazah Syazwan Zharif dituntut waris pada 2.08 petang tadi selepas selesai proses bedah siasat.
Terdahulu media melaporkan, dua penunggang basikal maut akibat kecederaan parah di bahagian muka dan kepala selepas dilanggar sebuah kereta dalam kejadian di Persiaran Selatan, di sini malam tadi.
Ketua Polis Daerah Putrajaya, Asisten Komisioner Aidi Sham Mohamed dilaporkan berkata, siasatan awal mendapati pemandu kereta terbabit dipercayai mengubah haluan dari lorong tengah ke lorong kiri sebelum melanggar kedua-dua mangsa.

Sir Bradley Wiggins Checks Into U.S. Trauma Rehabilitation Clinic with Support from Lance Armstrong

Wiggins said he maintains regular contact with Armstrong and expressed appreciation for the financial and practical support. "I still speak to him and see him," he told the audience. "He's paid for me to go and see a top trauma counselling clinic in Utah, so I'm looking forward to that." Wiggins also revealed Armstrong has offered him a role back in cycling that would not require him to race, describing it as a "platform" that could aid his recovery and future engagement with the sport.
