Many homeowners only have the fire insurance the bank asked for when they took the loan. It may not cover what you expect.

✅ Householder cover protects your furniture, electronics and belongings

🔑 Does your spouse, child or staff member drive your car?

An extra excess may apply if the driver in an accident is not named on your policy, is under 21, or holds a P or L licence. That extra excess comes out of your own pocket, and the amount differs between policies.

The fix is usually simple:
✅ List everyone who drives the car regularly
✅ Add them as named drivers before they drive

Motor insurance mainly protects the car and claims made against you. Personal Accident (PA) cover is different. It can pay you a cash benefit for accidental injury, permanent disability or death.
