Projecto Txina ponta

This project is implemented in Maputo province, Matutuine district, specifically in Ponta do Ouro ,a tourist area with a generally low income for the local residents ( round about 60 euros per month), which makes it impossible for them to access better programmes for education and occupation of children during their free time. In general the children spend part of the day doing informal trading or looking after the house and also taking care of their siblings, as a way of helping their families when their parents go to work. Txina ponta is a project developed as a response to the need to create an artistic space where children can get moments to escape the harsh reality of Mozambique, allowing them to be children without their usual responsibilities.
