Happy Birthday, Daniel!

Today we celebrate one of our local missionaries and a cherished member of our Pioneer61 family!

Daniel, your kindness, joy, and love for Jesus shine through the way you care for people. We are so grateful for your heart and we are honored to have you on our team.

We thank God for your life and pray that this next year is filled with His presence, strength, and joy. You are loved and appreciated!

Our hearts are overflowing with pride for our son, Domingo! ❤️

He has officially completed Harvest School, and we have witnessed Jesus answer our prayers in the most beautiful way. His life has been forever changed!

Through this journey, Jesus called Domingo to lay down his own plans and surrender his future to Him. He has answered that call and will be staying in Maputo for the next two years to study and prepare to become a pastor.

Although we will miss having him close, our hearts are filled with joy knowing that he has chosen to follow Jesus above all else.

Domingo, we are beyond proud of you! There is no greater joy than watching our children surrender their lives to Jesus and walk boldly in the calling He has placed on their hearts.

We cannot wait to see all that God has in store for you!

The Widow’s Offering ❤️

Last Sunday, something happened that brought me to tears.

A few days earlier, we had given our monthly support to the widows in our ministry. As I sat behind them in church, I watched each one quietly pull out the envelope they had just received.

Then I realized what they were doing. They were taking out their tithe.

These women have so little by the world’s standards, yet their first response was to honor God with what He had provided. They weren’t giving from abundance, they were giving from sacrifice.

It immediately reminded me of the widow in Mark 12:41–44, whom Jesus praised because she gave not out of her wealth, but out of her need.

I can only imagine the smile on Jesus’ face as He received their offering. Heaven measures generosity very differently than we do.

These women continue to teach me that true worship isn’t about how much we give, it’s about the posture of our hearts.

Thank you, Jesus, for allowing us to witness faith like this. It is humbling, inspiring, and unforgettable.

“She, out of her poverty, put in everything she had.” — Mark 12:44

There was a time these precious kids stood outside this park, looking through the fence while selling peanuts just to survive.

Today, they walked through the gates—not to work, but to laugh, play, run, and simply be children.

Watching them smile, play without worry, and enjoy a day filled with joy is a beautiful reminder that Jesus changes everything.

Thank You, Jesus, for redeeming stories, restoring childhoods, and giving hope where there was once only survival. Every smile is a testimony of Your faithfulness. ❤️
