Extra classes are offered in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics for grades 8-AS Level.

The SMP offers group tutoring services, with an emphasis on improving study techniques and understanding scientific concepts and their applications in daily life. The mission of the Science and Mathematics Program is to elevate the level of scientific teaching in Namibia as broadly as possible. In most classrooms, many students struggle with scientific concepts, because it is taught in a relatively abstract manner that these students cannot relate to. The SMP is built on the belief that scientific concepts can be effectively conveyed through relatable everyday examples. This approach involves presenting concepts in a less abstract manner than traditional classroom methods. Furthermore, during the tutoring sessions, students are advised on how to improve their problem-solving skills, how to approach and answer exam-style questions adequately, and how to build a proper study technique. These study methods are rooted in scientific evidence to enhance the learning experience.

We took our students into the teaching labs at Namibia University of Science and Technology this past week. Students learn a lot more in labs, than pure theory in textbooks.
