In 1999, Impulse Computer Services was established by me, Volker Bause, its sole owner, after successful studies as a programmer and years of employment in the technical departments of two large IT companies. Impulse Computer Services Cc is based just outside Windhoek and serves corporate and private customers anywhere in Namibia, in English, Afrikaans and German. Activities are focussed around sales and especially after-sales support and service of quality hardware and software. Impulse Computer Services also provides quality ICT and IT Asset management services. Having been involved in technical departments working with customer complaints and claims and addressing the IT needs of especially corporate clients, I realized that there was demand for better IT advice, services and hardware/software than commonly available in Namibia. It took another ten years to build up a customer base for Impulse Computer Services that put quality over price considerations and to organize the internal workings of the company. A good part of 2011/12 was spent re-thinking and re-organizing internal operations so that I could respond better and faster to client requests for goods and services. I am grateful to those clients who kept supporting Impulse Computer Services during this transition, and they are now assured of improved services, just as those who will make use of Impulse Computer Services in future. However, transformation and adaptation always remains high on my agenda, as the IT needs of individuals and corporations change as often and quickly, as the technology that surrounds us. Background: I was born in Namibia, in 1971, to German parents who are descendants of German immigrants, during colonial times in the early 1900's. Over the years, I have come to appreciate traditional German values and principles, although having been brought up in African surroundings and educated in Afrikaans and English schools. My home language is German but I am equally fluent in English and Afrikaans. I always strive for perfection, quality, honesty, rational thinking, and discipline. I am very industrious and have numerous hobbies outside the IT field as well, which include music, photography, woodwork, painting, metalwork and similar activities that make me have an active lifestyle. I am used to overcoming adversities in my work as well as daily life and to turn weaknesses into strengths. I started supplying ICT (Information and communications technology - or technologies) services as well as IT Asset management and disposition services to assist dedicated customers in maximizing returns on aging computer equipment by refurbishing it, if still considered meaningful, and reselling it to clients who had good use for it. Since I generally don't believe in just throwing things away, I can often assist customers with computer spare parts not available on the market anymore. I believe in personalized customer - supplier relationships based on mutual trust and respect. Therefore I am proud and grateful to have clients nowadays who not only fully trust that I will do everything in my power to assist them in achieving their goals but to also admit when constraints on my part make it advisable to seek professional support elsewhere, if only for a limited time or to meet certain demands.
