Lagos State has a coordinated emergency response system that brings together the necessary agencies, including the police, ambulance, and other emergency responders.

Many people think these numbers don't work. But they do.

Around midnight, their 7-month-old daughter suddenly developed a high fever of 38.5°C during heavy rain. They had no car, so they called 112. An ambulance was dispatched and came to pick them up.

The surprising part?
This didn't happen in Lagos Island or Victoria Island.

It actually happened in Badagry Local Government Area.

We often criticize our emergency systems, but it's also important to know the services that are available and actually use them when needed.
