Conscience Foundation is a grassroots mobilising organisation with passion for community interests to enhance change in the areas of democracy, education, human rights, accountability and good governance. It is dedicated to mobilising and organising for solidarity activities towards demonstrating and communicating the role of conscience in the socioeconomic and political life of Nigeria, and the world at large.
A resident of Shiloh Community in the Kurudu area of Abuja, Comrade Sadare Oladimeji, has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, alleging repeated police harassment, intimidation, threats of arrest and malicious criminal allegations against him and other members of the community.
Oladimeji, in a petition obtained by SaharaReporters on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 and dated September 14, 2026, accused Bassey Akpan Edet, identified in the petition as the Branch Chairman of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN), Ministry of Health Unit, of repeatedly involving the police in what he described as a personal and community dispute.

The son of prominent Nigerian Islamic scholar Sheikh Nura Khalid, popularly known as the Digital Imam, has reverted to Islam today and apologised to the Muslim Ummah over what he described as a misinterpretation of a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
His return to Islam comes about a month after he was seen publicly accepting Christianity, an incident that generated widespread reactions on social media.
In his latest statement, he reportedly expressed regret over his earlier position and sought forgiveness from Muslims for his interpretation of the Hadith.
