BENUE GIRLS INTERCEPTED IN LAGOS ON THEIR WAY TO GHANA FOR OLÓSHO

Four young girls from Benue State have been intercepted in Lagos while on their way to Ghana for Olosho business.

The girls identified as:

1. Jessica — Logo Local Government Area.

2. Doose Anongo — Logo Local Government Area.

3. Monica Aondona — Vandeikya Local Government Area.

4. Apa Joy — Ukum Local Government Area.

According to reports, Benue Links Nig. Ltd has volunteered to transport them back to Benue State free of charge, where they will face the necessary legal process.

There is no justification for this inhumane treatment ton a minor .😭 No human being should go through this. Just look at the body of this child. Where is our humanity ? How can a woman do this to a child? .This is the highest level of wickedness and brutality l have seen on a child in my entire life..

It's high time Government should bound parents from given out minors kids to leave with relatives or work as house helps. I have never ever seen this level of wickedness on a harmless helpless child. .Society has failed .The woman who committed this evil wicked act must be arrested to face the law .
My advice is if you cannot take care of your children no matter how poor you are don't give your child to any one under the disguise they will take care of them.

BREAKING NEWS: OPPOSITION KNOCKS ALIA ADMINISTRATION, ALLEGES FAILURE IN GOVERNANCE AND EDUCATION SECTOR

A fresh wave of criticism has been directed at the Benue State Government as opposition voices accuse the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia of focusing on defending the past rather than addressing the present challenges confronting citizens.

According to the critics, the current realities facing the people of Benue in June 2026 include rising hardship, insecurity, and difficulties in meeting basic needs such as feeding, paying school fees, and securing communities.

The opposition further alleged that the Alia-led administration has struggled with internal political divisions and poor management of relationships within the ruling party, arguing that such conflicts have negatively affected effective governance in the state.

In the education sector, concerns were raised over the indefinite strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi, formerly Benue State University. The critics alleged that the strike, which commenced in June 2026, was a result of unresolved issues including staff welfare, unpaid promotion arrears, and pension concerns.

They maintained that the continued closure of lecture halls has placed the academic future of thousands of students at risk, calling on the state government to urgently address the situation.
