Some encounters stay with you long after the moment has passed.

Our visit to the FCT School of the Blind in Jabi was a reminder that every child has a story still unfolding, a world of possibilities ahead, and potential that deserves to be recognised beyond their present circumstances.

It reminded us that disability does not diminish a child's worth, dreams or right to experience a world that makes room for them to learn, grow and thrive.

Sometimes, the first step towards meaningful change is choosing to see beyond what is immediately visible and recognising what is possible.

As we wrap up the week, we carry this reminder with us: every child deserves to be seen for more than their circumstances and supported in becoming all they can be.

Because the first step may look small, but what it sets in motion can be far greater.

66 years is more than a number.

It is a story of people, resilience, challenges overcome, lessons learned and possibilities that remain ahead.

As we honour where Nigeria has come from, we also look towards what comes next.

A Nigeria where every child can learn, every young person can find a path, every woman can build, and every community can have the opportunity to thrive.

The future of a nation is built through the choices, contributions and commitment of its people.

Here’s to Nigeria.
Here’s to the work ahead.
Here’s to what we can build.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria.

Some Things Should Never Become Normal

Some things become so familiar that we stop questioning them.

A child out of school.
A family without access to basic healthcare.
A young person with potential but no direction.

Familiar does not mean acceptable.

This week, let’s not just look at what is around us.

Let’s ask what should be different.

Happy New Week from CDD Foundation.

A visionary has clear and precise ideas that define the success of a dream, coupled with a strong work ethic, the discipline to remain committed to a vision, and the ability to inspire others to believe in what is possible.

Today, we celebrate a visionary whose journey continues to reflect purpose, service, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference.

At CDD Foundation, we are proud to celebrate the man behind the vision.

Happy Birthday to our President.

Wishing you many more blessed years ahead.

A new week is a reminder that what we choose to prioritise matters.

Every child deserves the things that help them not only live, but learn, grow and thrive.

School bags, learning materials and scholarships can support learning and development.

Food and essential supplies support nourishment and wellbeing.

Personal care items and other forms of support help uphold dignity and create an environment where children can grow with confidence.

At CDD Foundation, this is what meaningful support means to us: responding to the different needs that shape a child's wellbeing and future.

As we begin another week, let's remember that meaningful change often starts with responding to the needs around us.

Learning. Nourishment. Dignity. Care.

Because childhood should be more than survival.

Today, we remember Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the profound example he left through his character, compassion, patience and kindness.

His life reminds us that character is not only expressed in what we say, but in how we treat people, especially those around us.

May the lessons from his life inspire us to live with greater kindness, humility and compassion.

Some of the most meaningful support we receive does not come with a cheque, a job, or a grand gesture.

Sometimes, it is simply someone who sees something in us before we see it in ourselves.

A teacher who encouraged you.
A mentor who gave you direction.
A friend who stood by you.
A stranger who chose to help.

Service to others is often about the difference we choose to make in the lives around us.

Who is one person whose kindness or support made a difference in your life?

You never know who may see this and be reminded of the difference they made.

Imagine you were given ₦1 million today with just one condition:

You must use it to make your community better.

What would you do?

Build? Educate? Create jobs? Support healthcare? Empower young people? Support vulnerable families?

There is no perfect answer.

We want to hear yours.

If ₦1 million landed in your hands today, what would you change first?

Not every need makes the headlines.

Some are quietly carried in homes, classrooms, workplaces, and communities every day.

We may not be able to solve every challenge at once. But we can choose not to become indifferent to them.

Because meaningful change begins when we are willing to see what others have learned to overlook.

Some needs are simply too important to ignore.
