YOUR ASSOCIATION WILL DETERMINE YOUR ACCENTUATION. 🧠🤝
The people you consistently spend time with can influence how you think, speak, act, and see the world.
If you constantly surround yourself with people who talk about opportunities, growth, business, skills, and solutions, you are more likely to start thinking in those directions.
But if your environment constantly reinforces excuses, negativity, fear, and limitation, it can become harder to think beyond those patterns.
Your association can influence your:
🧠 Mindset
🎯 Goals
📈 Standards
💬 Language
🔥 Ambition
💰 Financial decisions
This doesn't mean you should abandon everyone who is struggling.
It means you should be intentional about who you allow to influence your thinking.
Find people who challenge you to grow.
Learn from people who have knowledge and experience you don't have.
Build relationships with people who encourage you to become better—not simply people who make you comfortable.
Your environment may not determine your destiny, but it can strongly influence your direction.
Choose your associations wisely.
Who you spend time with today can influence who you become tomorrow.

Social Media Is Not a Consequence-Free Space
The recent case involving an X user and the Elumelu family should make many of us pause and think about what we post online.
According to court reports, a young man identified as Emmanuel Akwuobi, who allegedly used the name “Deriko” on X, was arraigned over posts that insinuated that singer Chike had been involved with Tony Elumelu’s wife. The alleged posts included the words, “I hear say Chike don sleep with another person's wife” and “Tony wife, over full gist.” He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Whether you are a celebrity, blogger, anonymous account holder or an ordinary social media user, there is something we need to understand.
What you write online can have real-life consequences.
Sometimes we hide behind phrases like “I only heard it,” “I was just asking a question,” or “It was only banter.”
But when you put an allegation about someone's marriage, character, reputation or integrity on the internet, you have moved beyond private conversation. You have published something that other people can screenshot, share, interpret and amplify.
And once it spreads, you may no longer control where it goes.
This is why we need to become more responsible with our keyboards.
You do not need to know someone personally to damage their reputation.
You do not need millions of followers to cause harm.
You do not even need to state something as a fact. Sometimes, an insinuation is enough to make thousands of people believe something that has never been established.
Before you post, ask yourself three questions:
Do I know this to be true?
Can I defend what I am saying if I am challenged?
And would I be comfortable attaching my real name and face to this statement?
If the answer to any of these questions is no, perhaps the post does not need to be published.
We have become too comfortable treating people's lives as entertainment.
Someone's marriage becomes content. Someone's private struggle becomes gossip. Someone's name becomes a trending topic. Then we move on to the next story while the people involved are left to deal with the consequences.

The Blessing CEO Story Is Bigger Than Blessing CEO
The news surrounding Blessing CEO and the reported loss of her son is heartbreaking. But beyond the immediate tragedy, I find myself thinking about the trajectory of her life in the public eye and the lessons it holds for all of us, especially women and celebrities.
When Bimbo Ogbonna died in 2022, the circumstances surrounding her death became a major public controversy. IVD was accused by Bimbo’s family of responsibility and was later charged with involuntary manslaughter. Blessing CEO became publicly involved, defending IVD and challenging the narrative surrounding Bimbo. Her involvement eventually led to legal trouble of her own, including charges relating to alleged cyberbullying and libel involving Bimbo’s family.
Years later, Blessing and IVD became romantically involved and eventually engaged. In December 2025, IVD was discharged and acquitted in the case relating to Bimbo’s death, and Blessing publicly celebrated the outcome.
Today, Blessing herself is facing serious legal troubles and has reportedly lost her son while in custody. She has confirmed the death but denied authorising a fundraising campaign circulated in her name.
I am not writing this to say that one event caused another. Life does not work that way, and tragedy should never be used as evidence that someone deserved what happened to them.
But there is a lesson here.
Be careful about the battles you choose to fight for other people.
Sometimes, in trying to prove that we are loyal, intelligent, brave or different, we become deeply involved in situations that were never ours to carry.
There is also a lesson for celebrities and influencers.
Not every opinion needs to become content, not every relationship needs an audience, and not every battle needs a livestream.
Influence comes with responsibility because the things you say publicly can affect other people's lives, families and reputations, but they can also become part of your own story.
And for women especially, I think there is another lesson.
Do not confuse standing by a man with losing your ability to question him.
Love should not require you to abandon wisdom. Loyalty should not require you to silence your instincts. And being someone's partner should never mean becoming their defender in every situation, especially when you do not have all the facts.
Perhaps the greatest lesson from Blessing CEO's journey is this:
The life we build publicly eventually becomes part of the story people tell about us.
We should therefore choose our words, relationships, battles and public displays with greater wisdom.
Because when the noise dies down and the cameras are gone, we are still left with the consequences of the lives we chose to live.

Random Wisdom: A New Week Is Another Opportunity
There is something about the beginning of a new week that makes us feel as though we have been given another opportunity to start again. On Sunday, many of us begin making plans for the days ahead. We create to-do lists, think about the things we want to accomplish, and promise ourselves that this will be the week we become more organised, more productive, healthier, or more disciplined.
Then real life happens.
Monday may not go as planned. An unexpected problem may demand our attention, work may become more stressful than we anticipated, or we may simply find ourselves too tired to do everything we had planned. By the middle of the week, it can feel as though the entire plan has already failed.
The mistake many of us make is believing that one bad day has the power to ruin the rest of the week. We miss one day of exercise and decide that we will start next Monday again. We fail to complete something on our to-do list and begin to feel as though we have achieved nothing. We make one poor decision and allow it to convince us that we are incapable of changing.
But life does not work that way.
A new week does not require you to become a completely different person overnight. It simply gives you another opportunity to make better choices.
You may not be able to transform every part of your life this week, but you can take one meaningful step. You can complete something you have been postponing, become more intentional about your spending, read a few pages of a book, take better care of yourself, or finally begin something you have been thinking about for a long time.
The small things may not look impressive at first, but they matter because our lives are shaped gradually. The habits we repeat, the choices we make, and the things we consistently give our attention to eventually influence the direction our lives take.
So, as you begin a new week, make your plans but leave room for reality. Set your goals, but do not punish yourself if everything does not go exactly as expected.
If Monday does not go well, you still have the rest of the week. If you make a mistake, you can learn from it and continue. You do

When we talk about misinformation, most of us imagine something completely fake. A fake photograph, fabricated video, a made-up quote, or a story that never happened.
But misinformation is not always that obvious. Sometimes, the photograph is real, the video is real, the person in the picture is real, and the event actually happened.
The problem is the story attached to it.
That may be one of the most dangerous forms of misinformation because it has enough truth to make people believe it.
A real photograph can tell a false story
Recently, images circulated online with claims that they showed bandits rounded up after a military operation in Zamfara State.
The photographs were real, but the claim attached to them was false.
AFP Fact Check found that the images actually showed the mass arrest of illegal miners in South Africa in July 2026, not a Nigerian military operation in Zamfara.
This is an important lesson.
The Truth Can Be Real and Still Mislead You When we talk about misinformation, most of us imagine something completely fake. A fake photograph, fabricated video, a made-up quote, or a story that never hap

Love has always been personal. For generations, people met through family, friends, school, work, church and community. Someone introduced two people who later got married. Sometimes families played an active role in helping their children find suitable partners. In many cultures, matchmaking is nothing new.
What is changing is that finding a partner is increasingly becoming a professional service. Today, dating apps, relationship coaches, dating consultants and professional matchmakers are available, and people can pay for someone to review their profile, introduce them to potential partners, or guide them through the process of finding a relationship.
It's a conversation I keep running into lately, and it recently sharpened when a Christian matchmaking platform surfaced online with packages reportedly ranging from ₦70,000 to ₦700,000. It raised a question worth sitting with properly: can finding love really become a business?
Perhaps the answer is not as simple as it sounds.

There is a popular belief that the solution to financial problems is simple: earn more money.
If your salary is ₦200,000, earn ₦400,000. If you earn ₦400,000, aim for ₦800,000. If you earn ₦800,000, find another opportunity that takes you into seven figures.
There is certainly some truth in this. Income matters. It is difficult to build financial security when what comes in is consistently insufficient to cover basic needs.
But there is another side of the story that we do not talk about enough.
Earning more money does not automatically make you wealthy.
A person can receive a significant increase in income and still remain financially stressed. Someone can move from one salary level to another without building meaningful savings, reducing debt, creating investments, or establishing any financial cushion.
The problem is not always how much money comes in.
Sometimes, it is what happens to the money after it arrives.
Why Earning More Doesn't Always Make You Wealthy There is a popular belief that the solution to financial problems is simple: earn more money. If your salary is ₦200,000, earn ₦400,000. If you earn ₦4
