But then
The best is to sell every month

If they tell you market women inflate the price of fish, you might think it’s a lie 😂

This fish she’s holding shouldn’t cost more than ₦7,000 farm-gate because it’s just 2kg , yet she’s selling it for ₦13,500–₦14,000.

Meanwhile, the farmer who produced it may have made only ₦500–₦1,000 profit on that fish.

I know the lady oh she sometimes buys fish from me 😂

Is this supposed to be so?

How much is feed in your city and how much is fish there
Let’s compare

Same fish will be sold for 5-6k to final consumer by same ppl that bought it from you below 3k

We buy feed at high prices here too we’re not farming in a place where production costs are cheap.

You produce fish, you allow off-takers from our city to buy cheaply from your area, bring the fish here, and sell at prices that make it difficult for local farmers to compete.

If you can’t sell your fish at a reasonable price, please sell within your own city instead of flooding other markets.

Let’s be fair to farmers everywhere.
