Development Options (DO) is partnering with World Ebony Network and other organisations to help flood victims with emergency supplies in Akwa Ibom state, as part of the Ghana/Nigeria flood relief drive, starting in August.

Thursday 16th July, 2026: DO signs MOU and partnership agreement with World Ebony Network, USA to implement the Ghana and Nigeria Flood Relief Drive in Akwa Ibom state.

WEN is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization, founded in 2006 to honour heritage, reconcile cultures, and celebrate the good in every ancestry.

Sunday, July 5th, 2026: Clothing and shoes for women and children were donated to Oron LGA in Akwa Ibom State. The items were received in Eket by Pastor Patience Oke, Founder of Vine Health Initiative Development (VIHID), who expressed gratitude to Development Options (DO) for extending support to the indigent.

In response, Dr. Uduak Daniel, Founder and Technical Advisor of DO, commended VIHID for serving as a beacon of hope to communities and individuals. She emphasized that the donations were made possible through DO’s partners under the Put-A-Smile Project (PASP).

Saturday, June 13, 2026: At Signature by Royalty in Uyo, we unveiled Development Options Honours (DOH)—our flagship annual initiative designed to celebrate exceptional contributions by individuals and corporate entities across all sectors of social accountability, with a special focus on women and youth development.

The maiden edition of DOH featured the inaugural Akwa Ibom Impact Honours (AIIH), integrated into DOH to provide structure and long-term sustainability. AIIH was presented as a core highlight of The Conversations Experience – Akwa Ibom, a concert hosted by DO’s founder, Dr. Uduak Daniel.

At this historic outing, 18 distinguished honourees, including Nigeria's Quincy Jones, Lemmy Jackson and 90-year-old Pa Udooto Uwomodoimo were recognized for their outstanding impact, marking the beginning of a tradition that will continue to spotlight excellence and inspire greater commitment to social development.
