Nigeria has the highest number of people living with SCD globally.
With an estimated 150,000 babies born with SCD every year, that’s about 30% of the global SCD burden.
For many people living with sickle cell disease, access to safe blood transfusions can mean the difference between life and death during a health crisis.
Through the Blood Bridge Program, we are raising awareness about the critical need for voluntary blood donation and mobilizing resources to support children and individuals living with sickle cell disease. Our goal is to help ensure that no child is denied life-saving care because blood is unavailable or unaffordable.

The Neo Child Initiative for Africa (TNCI), a non-profit organization committed to improving the health, education, and overall well-being of vulnerable children and families through advocacy, community engagement, and sustainable development initiatives.
As part of our commitment to improving the quality for the African child, we are organizing a Blood Donation Awareness Walk and Voluntary Blood Donation Drive to increase public awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation while ensuring that children with sickle cell disease who rely on regular blood transfusions have greater access to safe blood.
