Report Launch on the Natural Resource Governance in the Niger-Delta held last week at Port Harcourt by SERAP with support from Ford Foundation. As a representative of my community here, l shared how we can use strategic litigation to end corruption & achieve social justice in the oil-rich region.
This Report Launch was quite timely and imperative for public interest advocacy. It's time all state actors , take action, walk the talk and ensure marginalised Communities are no more shortchanged of the benefits of Natural resources exploited from their domains.

PHAWI participated in the Progress Review meeting on the implementation of Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)/Safe Termination of Pregnancy Guideline in Akwa Ibom State implemented by Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC) with support from the Global Affairs Canadian and Centre for Reproductive Rights. The meeting assessed the challenges, opportunities and gaps affecting the implementation of SRHR in the state. We unanimously agreed to intensify our efforts to increase public awareness and advocacy with state actors to ensure prompt implementation.
