⛪ 𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗥È𝗥𝗘, 𝗠𝗔 𝗦Œ𝗨𝗥, 𝗦𝗢𝗜𝗦 𝗨𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗤𝗨𝗘 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚É !

Tu es un paroissien, mais tu n’es membre ni des servants d’autel, ni des lecteurs, ni de l’Association des Mères chrétiennes, ni de l’Association des Pères chrétiens, ni du groupe des jeunes.

Mon frère, ma sœur, cela n’est pas un problème en soi. Tout le monde ne peut pas appartenir à toutes les associations paroissiales. Mais pose-toi cette question : Quelle est ma participation à la vie de ma paroisse ?

Être catholique, ce n’est pas simplement assister à la messe le dimanche et rentrer chez soi. L’Église est une famille, et chaque baptisé a un rôle à jouer selon ses dons, ses possibilités, sa situation et sa vocation.

Tu n’es peut-être pas servant d’autel, mais tu peux aider à accueillir les fidèles à l’église.

Tu n’es peut-être pas lecteur, mais tu peux participer aux activités d’évangélisation et aux œuvres de charité de ta paroisse.

Tu n’appartiens peut-être ni au groupe des jeunes ni à une association catholique, mais tu peux soutenir les pauvres, visiter les malades, encourager les autres, participer aux activités paroissiales ou simplement te rendre davantage disponible pour ta communauté chrétienne.

Ne sois pas catholique uniquement de nom. Sois un catholique qui participe, qui sert, qui prie et qui prend soin de l’Église.

L’Église a besoin de ta présence. Ton talent peut être utile. Ton sourire peut encourager quelqu’un. Ton service peut toucher une vie. Il y a une place pour toi dans la famille de Dieu.

Seigneur, aide-moi à ne pas seulement appartenir à ton Église, mais à te servir, ainsi que ton peuple, avec joie et générosité. Amen.

⛪ 𝗠𝗬 𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥, 𝗠𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥, 𝗕𝗘 𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖!

You are a parishioner, but you are not a member of the altar servers, the lay readers, the Christian Mothers Association, the Christian Fathers Association, or the youth group.

My brother, my sister, this is not a problem in itself. Not everyone can belong to every parish association. But ask yourself: How involved am I in the life of my parish?

Being a Catholic is more than simply attending Mass on Sunday and going home. The Church is a family, and every baptized person has a role to play according to his or her gifts, circumstances, and vocation.

You may not be an altar server, but perhaps you can help with welcoming people at church.
You may not be a lay reader, but perhaps you can participate in parish outreach.
You may not belong to the youth group or a Catholic association, but you can support the poor, visit the sick, encourage others, help with parish activities, or simply become more active in the life of your Christian community.

Do not be a Catholic only by name. Be a Catholic who participates, serves, prays, and cares for the Church.

The Church needs your presence. Your talent may be useful. Your smile may encourage someone. Your service may touch a life. There is a place for you in the family of God.

🙏 Lord, help me not only to belong to Your Church, but to serve You and Your people with joy. Amen.

⛪ 𝙒𝙃𝙔 𝘿𝙊 𝙎𝙊𝙈𝙀 𝙎𝙀𝙈𝙄𝙉𝘼𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙉𝙎 𝙒𝙀𝘼𝙍 𝘽𝙇𝘼𝘾𝙆 𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙊𝘾𝙆𝙎?

Many faithful are surprised when they see seminarians wearing a black cassock, especially when they are more accustomed to seeing seminarians in white cassocks.

Yes, black is one of the traditional colours of the cassock. The colour and style of clerical or seminary dress can vary according to the customs, traditions, and regulations of a diocese, religious congregation, or seminary.

The black cassock is not something strange or improper. In many places, seminarians and clergy wear it as a sign of their dedication, modesty, discipline, and readiness to serve God and His people.

The cassock also reminds the wearer that his life is not centred on himself. It is a visible sign of a vocation and a call to live with seriousness, simplicity, and fidelity.

So, the next time you see a seminarian in a black cassock, don’t be surprised. Different seminaries and congregations may have different customs regarding the colour of their cassocks.

What matters most is not simply the colour of the cassock, but the life and witness of the person wearing it. 🙏

What did you capture from today’s Homily?

𝑨 𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑶𝑵 𝑶𝑵 𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑻𝒀

During today’s homily, the priest said something that really caught my attention.

He spoke about how some people, especially those who have more than enough, sometimes meet children or poor people selling things on the streets and bargain with them in a very harsh or miserable way, simply because they know the sellers are in need.

He asked a very important question: Why is it that when we go to the supermarket, where the prices are fixed, we rarely bargain, but when we meet a poor person or a child hawking goods just to have something to eat, we try to reduce the price as much as possible?

Sometimes, the small profit that person is trying to make may be what will provide their meal for the day.

The priest was inviting us to look beyond the price and see the person. The person standing before us has dignity, dreams, needs and a family to support.

If we have more than they do, it should not make us take advantage of their situation. Rather, it should make us more generous and charitable.

Let us not use someone’s poverty as an opportunity to exploit them. Let us use what we have to make life a little easier for others.

🌱 𝑹𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚’𝒔 𝑮𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒍, 𝑳𝒖𝒌𝒆 8:4–15

Jesus reminds us that God’s Word is like a seed. It is sown in every heart, but it bears fruit only when we receive it with faith and perseverance.

Let us ask ourselves: What kind of soil is my heart? Am I allowing worries, distractions, or worldly desires to prevent God’s Word from growing in me?

🙏 Lord, make my heart good soil, so that Your Word may take root in me and bear abundant fruit in my life. Amen.
