The Sapphires Development Initiative

A new month just opened its doors. And it comes with something special 🇳🇬

As Nigeria marks another year of independence, we're reminded that freedom isn't only something a nation celebrates. It is something each of us gets to build: in the choices we make, the opportunities we seize, and the potential we unlock.

At TSDI, we believe every young person deserves the freedom to learn, create, lead, and shape a future on their own terms.

So this month, we celebrate YOU: the young person breaking barriers, asking better questions, and refusing to settle.

Make October count.

Happy New Month and Happy Independence Day! 🎉

Welcome to September 🌟

A new month. New possibilities. New opportunities to learn, explore, and become more.

Maybe there’s a skill you’ve been meaning to learn, a community you’ve been meaning to join, or a step you’ve been too hesitant to take.

Let September be the month you try.

At TSDI, we believe every opportunity to learn and explore can open the door to discovering something new about yourself.

So, what will you explore this September? 👀

Here’s to a month of learning, courage, and possibilities.

Y-O-U-T-H
Five letters.
Millions of stories. Countless realities.

We come from different cultures, experiences, and perspectives. Youth looks different across countries, communities, streets, and screens.

But here's the beautiful part: different contexts don't have to mean different destinations. 🤝

Beyond our differences is a shared aspiration; to learn, to be heard, to create, to lead, and to build a more sustainable, inclusive world.

This International Youth Day, TSDI celebrates YOU; the young person dreaming, creating, questioning, and working to make a difference.

Happy International Youth Day! 🥳

The popular saying "ignorance is bliss" doesn't apply when the truth has the power to change your life.

Truth doesn't just inform us; it gives us better grounds and opportunities to be one step ahead.

That's exactly why we're kicking off the very first edition of Truth Be Told Series.

Today's focus? Education. And trust us, some of these facts aren't just numbers. They're proof that education is the most powerful investment we can make.

Swipe through and learn something that might just change everything 📚✨

Monday's here. And progress is rarely quick.

You'll face moments that make you question everything: "What if it's hard? What if I fail?"
But here's the better question: What if you keep going?

As Winston Churchill said, "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."💯

Growth isn't about never stumbling. It's about rising every time you do.
The people who don't quit are the ones who lead. The ones who change things.

So this week? Don't give up on yourself. Choose progress over perfection.
You're closer than you think. 💪

August came with an extra dose of energy.😮‍💨

Not the kind that fades after the first week, but the kind that keeps us building long after the new month excitement settles.

This month, we continue to channel all energy into investing in people, because every learner empowered, every girl equipped, and every community strengthened moves us one step closer to the future we're working towards.

Here's to another month of impact that outlives the calendar.

Happy New Month from all of us at TSDI.

Having WiFi or a laptop isn’t the same as real digital education💯
Access is a great start, but it’s not enough.

Digital literacy means understanding technology, thinking critically, protecting privacy, spotting misinformation, and creating opportunities, not just using devices.

Yet according to UNICEF (2023), for every 100 young men with digital skills, only 65 young women have them. The gap is about opportunity and support.

At The Sapphires Development Initiative (TSDI), we’re bridging that divide. We don’t just provide devices, we build thinkers and creators, especially girls, who truly master technology.

Every youth deserves more than access 💜

The future isn't built by wishes. It's built by skills.
"The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow." So what are we doing today to prepare for that tomorrow?

" Skills for a Shared Future," this year's theme, reminds us that when young people are equipped with the right skills, everyone benefits. Stronger communities. Better futures.

Whether it's coding, tailoring, photography, or graphic design, every skill matters. And every young person deserves the chance to learn, master, and lead with confidence.

At TSDI, we're committed to that. Creating spaces where young people, especially girls, don't just learn (digital) skills. They own them. They share them. They lead with them.

Don't just learn a skill. Master it. Share it. Change the world.
Happy World Youth Skills Day! 🎊🎊🎊
