Jeneso Development Initiative (JDI) proudly partnered with the Adamawa State Government to commemorate World Hepatitis Day 2026 under the theme "Hepatitis: Let's Break It Down."

Our Community Mobilisation Officer, Ibrahim Usman Yerima, delivered a key message on behalf of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), calling for intensified community sensitisation, especially in rural areas, to increase awareness, promote testing and vaccination, and reduce the burden of viral hepatitis.

Our Executive Director, Sunyasemeni Almond Ezra, participated in a panel discussion on reducing stigma, emphasising the need to create supportive communities where people living with hepatitis can access testing, care, and treatment without fear of discrimination.

As part of our commitment to expanding access to hepatitis services, JDI donated 100 hepatitis test kits to support free screening during the event.

Together, we can break down barriers, end stigma, and eliminate viral hepatitis.

Silence is dangerous. Awareness saves lives.

It means ensuring that everyone has access to prevention, testing, treatment, and accurate information so that lives can be protected and saved. To me, elimination is not just a public health goal—it is a promise that future generations can live free from the burden of this disease.”

❗A: No! You don’t need to start over. Just pick up where you left off:
✔️ Get the next dose as soon as possible
✔️ Space the 3rd dose at least 2 months after the 2nd
