ThinkShe Aid Foundation Promoting Peace, Tolerance & Inclusion ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

We were honored to participate in The Plateau Peace Architecture Forum - August Edition hosted by the Plateau State Peacebuilding Agency (PSPBA) with support from German Cooperation and GIZ represented by the BOT Enoch John Vilret

Theme: Understanding Freedom of Religion or Belief: Promoting Tolerance, Inclusion and Violence-Free 2027 Elections, in Commemoration of Victims of Violence Based on Religion or Belief._
Date: Thursday, 27th August, 2026
Venue: Odilins Event Center, Jos

As an organization committed to women and youth empowerment, ThinkShe Aid Foundation joined the dialogue on how we can build a more peaceful and inclusive Plateau.

Our Key Takeaways:
1. How can young people become champions of religious tolerance and inclusion in their communities and online?
- By leading with respect and empathy across faiths
- By speaking up against hate speech and misinformation online
- By creating safe spaces for dialogue, community service, and interfaith collaboration

2. What practical steps can prevent the manipulation of religion for political or electoral purposes?
- Civic education to help youth vote based on values and policies, not religious sentiment
- Fact-checking and calling out divisive rhetoric during elections
- Strengthening partnerships between religious leaders, CSOs, and government to promote peace messaging

At ThinkShe Aid Foundation, we believe that our diversity is our strength. A united, stable, and all-inclusive Plateau is possible when we choose understanding over division.

We stand committed to empowering young people to be peacebuilders and to say NO to electoral violence.

Activity Report | World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026
ThinkShe Aid Foundation, in partnership with DC Joy Foundation and the Emancipation Centre for Crisis Victims in Nigeria, successfully commemorated World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 with a one-day health talk and practical reusable pad-making training in Dogon Karfe Community, Jos South LGA.
The event brought together 26 adolescents (17 girls and 9 boys) to learn about menstrual health, hygiene, and sustainable menstrual management. Through interactive discussions, participants gained accurate knowledge about the menstrual cycle, debunked common myths surrounding menstruation, and explored the importance of creating supportive environments for girls.
A major highlight of the event was the hands-on reusable pad-making session, where all 17 girls successfully completed the training, gaining practical skills to produce affordable and reusable sanitary pads. Encouragingly, several boys also chose to participate, demonstrating increased support for menstrual health advocacy.
Key Highlights: โœจ 26 adolescents reached (17 girls, 9 boys) โœจ 100% of participating girls completed reusable pad-making training โœจ Menstrual myths and misconceptions addressed through interactive Q&A โœจ Increased awareness of healthy menstrual hygiene practices โœจ Strong collaboration among partner organizations and community stakeholders
We remain committed to ensuring that every girl can manage her menstruation with dignity while promoting male allyship and breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.
Together, we are building healthier, more informed, and more inclusive communities.

๐ŸŒฟ Day 15 โ€“ Final Reflection
1. What did we learn?
We learned that reducing plastic waste begins with intentional everyday choices. Choosing reusable tote bags and water bottles, refusing unnecessary single-use plastics, and encouraging others can become simple habits with meaningful environmental impact.
2. What impact did we create?
Through our participation, we raised awareness about the environmental dangers of single-use plastic bags and bottles and encouraged more sustainable alternatives. Every plastic item we refused or replaced was one less piece of unnecessary plastic entering our environment.
3. Who inspired us?
We were inspired by our volunteers, partners, supporters, communities, and everyone who participated in the challenge. Working alongside Centre for Earth Works (CFEW) and other partners showed us the strength of collective action.
4. What will we keep doing?
We will continue reducing our dependence on single-use plastic bags and bottles, promoting reusable alternatives, educating our communities, and incorporating environmentally responsible practices into our activities.
5. Whatโ€™s our next step?
Our next step is to take the lessons from Plastic Free July beyond the campaign. We will continue advocating for sustainable practices, engaging our communities, and encouraging individuals, businesses, and institutions to take practical steps toward reducing plastic pollution.
Closing message
Plastic Free July may be ending, but our commitment does not. We will continue to refuse what we don't need, reduce what we use, reuse what we have, and inspire others to protect our planet. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

As a community, we introduce a "Bring Your Own Bag" initiative. By encouraging everyone to carry reusable tote bags and rewarding those who do, we can greatly reduce our reliance on single-use plastic bags and build a cleaner, greener community. ๐ŸŒโ™ป๏ธ
