Meet Mami Idris, our MEL Officer.

Idris is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduate with a passion for building intelligent technologies that solve real-world challenges. His journey spans embedded systems, AI, web development, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning(MEL). He has worked on projects in smart energy, robotics, renewable energy, digital innovation, while mentoring young people in STEM and technology.

Idris aspires to be the founder of AID Technologies — an initiative which is currently in the works, which will be committed to developing scalable solutions to improve lives across Africa. This aspiration is from his love for transforming ideas into practical products and collaborating with diverse teams to create impactful and innovative solutions that drive social and economic development.

Hope is very calm and nurturing in nature and this translates into her work at YandyTech. Her innovative thinking and ability to stay calm even in challenging situations is truly admirable.

This new year, we wish Hope nothing but the best in all her endeavors. We also wish her a beautiful year filled with growth, happiness, and remarkable achievements.

When it comes to promoting digital and AI skills, we’re always excited to be in the room where the future is being built.

In light of the above, we were delighted to join the BBYDI during the launch and press conference of the SheBuilds AI Fellowship held last Thursday in Kaduna State.

The SheBuilds AI Fellowship, with support from the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), is creating an important pathway for young women to gain practical AI skills, explore new opportunities, and become active participants in the digital ecosystem.

Mohammed Bayero Yayandi gave a goodwill message, congratulating the fellows and encouraging them to pay rapt attention through the course of the fellowship and be fully equipped with these digital and AI skills as they will surely be of great impact to them. And considering that AI is transforming the way we learn, work, create, and solve problems, this initiative will equip the women with the skills and opportunities to be part of this crucial transformation.

We’re excited to see the impact of SheBuilds AI Fellowship and the incredible women who will go on to learn, build, innovate, and lead.

Meet Amina Manga Usman, an intern in the Communications Department.
Amina has a degree in Plant Science and Biotechnology and is currently serving as a youth corp member. She is passionate about content creation and contributes significantly to the contents we put out at YandyTech.

As she proceeds in her career journey, she aims to be good with digital skills as the world now revolves around digital technology.
