🍼 3 DIAPER RASH MYTHS EVERY MOM SHOULD KNOW
❌ MYTH 1: “Put plenty powder to stop the rash.”
✅ TRUTH: Powder isn’t necessary, and too much can cake on the skin and cause irritation. Avoid inhaling loose powder around your baby.
❌ MYTH 2: “Use antibiotic cream yourself.”
✅ TRUTH: Not every diaper rash is an infection. Don’t use antibiotic creams without proper advice from a healthcare professional.
❌ MYTH 3: “It’s because you’re a bad mom.”
❤️ TRUTH: Diaper rash is very common in babies. It doesn’t mean you’re a bad parent.
🚨 See a nurse or doctor if the rash is getting worse, isn’t improving after a few days of proper care, or your baby develops fever, blisters, pus, or spreading redness.
📌 Save this post — you may need it later.

🍼 I thought expensive diapers = no rash.
I was wrong o. 😂
Nigeria heat is not smiling inside that diaper! 🥵
Sometimes, it’s not about buying the most expensive brand. Regular diaper changes and keeping baby’s skin clean and dry matter too.
To all the moms holding baby with one hand and scrolling with the other — you are doing amazing. ❤️
👶 How many times do you change your baby’s diaper in a day? Be honest o 👇

🍼 DIAPER RASH: What Most New Moms Don't Know
It’s not always the diaper brand.
Diaper rash can happen when the diaper stays wet or soiled for too long, from too much rubbing during cleaning, or after using a new soap, wipe, or cream.
✅ Change diapers regularly, especially after poo
✅ Clean gently with water and pat dry
✅ Give baby a few minutes without a diaper to air-dry
✅ Apply a thin layer of zinc oxide barrier cream
🚨 See a doctor/nurse promptly if the rash has blisters, pus, spreading redness, or your baby develops a fever.
Moms, what worked for your baby when diaper rash showed up? 👇❤️

🚽 Your p*e is a free health report. Have you checked yours today?
The colour of your urine can give you a quick clue about your hydration.
🟡 Pale yellow (like light straw): Usually a sign of good hydration.
🟠 Dark yellow or amber: You may need more fluids.
🟤 Brown or tea-coloured: Don’t assume it’s just dehydration. If it persists, get checked by a health worker.
🔴 Red or pink: If you haven’t eaten foods that can cause this colour, get checked—blood in urine needs attention.
Note: Vitamins, foods and some medicines can change urine colour.
Check it. Learn from it. 💧
What colour is yours today? Be honest 👇

🚨 HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MEDICAL EMERGENCY UP CLOSE?
Someone suddenly grabs their throat, unable to speak or breathe.
Or maybe someone drops to the ground in a seizure, or cries out after a snakebite.
People panic. Everyone starts shouting conflicting advice: "Give him water!" "Hit his back!" "Hold him down!" 😰
Imagine being in that room. Would you know what to do?
A while ago at a local buka, a man began choking on a piece of meat. The crowd panicked, slapping his back while he stood upright—a mistake that could have made things worse. Thankfully, someone trained in first aid stepped in and saved his life.
Emergency response isn't common sense; it’s a skill.
👉 Have you ever witnessed someone choking, having a seizure, or being bitten by a snake?
* What happened?
* How did the crowd react?
* What do you wish you had known at that exact moment?
Drop your story in the comments. 👇
Sharing what you learned—or what you wish you’d done differently—could save a life next time.

🛌 Can you really “catch up” on sleep at weekends?
Many of us sleep 5 hours during the week, then try to recover by sleeping much longer on Saturday and Sunday.
But does it really work?
✅ Extra weekend sleep can reduce some tiredness
✅ But it doesn't completely undo repeated short sleep
✅ Big changes in your sleep schedule can affect your body clock
✅ A more consistent sleep routine is better
Try this instead:
🔹 Add 15–30 minutes to your sleep each night
🔹 Keep your weekend wake-up time close to your weekday time
🔹 If needed, take a short nap of about 20 minutes
Consistency matters. Your body needs regular recovery. 💚
Do you sleep longer on weekends? YES or NO? 👇

🌡️ Too hot, too noisy, too bright? Your bedroom may be ruining your sleep.
You can do everything right and still sleep badly if your room fights you.
✅ Heat: A cooler room helps you fall asleep and stay asleep. Open windows, use a fan, and wear light cotton.
✅ Noise: Generator or street noise breaks deep sleep. Try earplugs or a fan's steady hum.
✅ Light: Switch off bright bulbs and cover standby lights. Darkness tells your body it's night.
✅ Bites: A treated net keeps mosquitoes from waking you up all night.
Small changes, better sleep. 💚

🛡️ Sleeping less than 6 hours regularly? Your body may be paying the price.
Sleep isn’t just about resting. Your body uses it to recover and support your immune system.
Too little sleep may mean:
✅ Getting sick more often
✅ Slower recovery when you’re ill
✅ More stress and low mood
✅ More cravings for sugary and fatty foods
Most adults need around 7–9 hours of sleep each night.
Your body isn't lazy. It's recovering. 💚
Be honest: Are you getting at least 7 hours?
Comment YES or NO 👇
