Some Angels Have Paws

Every evening after school, a little girl walked home with a single biscuit in her pocket. It wasn't for herself—it was for a lonely stray dog who waited quietly by the roadside.

People ignored him. Some chased him away. Others acted as if he didn't exist.

But she smiled at him every day.

She would kneel beside him, break the biscuit in half, and gently whisper, "You're not alone anymore."

Day after day, their silent friendship grew stronger. The dog never asked for more than kindness, and the little girl never expected anything in return.

Then one rainy evening, everything changed.

The girl lost her way in the storm. Darkness surrounded her, and fear filled her heart. She cried, not knowing where to go.

Out of the rain came the same dog she had fed for so many days.

He stood beside her, refusing to leave. Step by step, he walked ahead, stopping whenever she fell behind, until he led her safely back to her family.

That night, everyone called the dog a hero.

But the little girl simply smiled through her tears and hugged him tightly.

She knew something everyone else had forgotten:

Kindness is never wasted. The love you give has a way of finding its way back to you when you need it most.

Some heroes wear uniforms.

Some wear crowns.

And some have four paws and the biggest hearts.
