IT IS THE REVELATION OF CHRIST

26/09/2026

THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE.

There is a song we all know and sing regularly ;
This is the Day (2x)
That the Lord has Made(2x)
I will rejoice (2x)
….And be glad in it (2x) 🎵 🎵

Now, I know you know the rest of the song. Many sing this song without understanding the POWER in the lyrics. This song is a pure testimony of the work of Christ and our response to that work. Let’s see where the song was gotten from in God’s word 👇🏾

Psalms 118:24KJV
[24]This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

We all ought to know by now that there is a way to read God’s word; *it is with the Christ-consciousness*. That means, we shouldn’t read the word with our own meaning or interpretation. We must read and understand it the way Jesus or/and His disciples (apostles) would have. Let me show you what Jesus said 👇🏾

Luke 24:44KJV
[44]And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, *and in the psalms, concerning me*.

Notice Jesus said that ; *The (some) things in the book of Psalms WHICH WERE WRITTEN CONCERNING HIM HAS BEEN FULFILLED*! So that means, if we read the book of Psalms, we ought to read it with the consciousness of what Christ has done. Now let’s see verse 45 & 46 of Luke 24👇🏾

Luke 24:45-46KJV
[45]Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
[46]And said unto them, *Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day*.

Luke the writer, gave us the summary of what Jesus taught His disciples here (notice Luke didn’t go into the details of what Jesus taught). But from Luke’s summary (Which was about Jesus’s death and resurrection) and the teachings found in the Lips of the apostles in the book of acts and in their epistles, we can track the details of what Jesus taught them here!

Now let’s go back to our running text and see a very brief explanation of it👇🏾

Psalms 118:24KJV
[24]This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

When you see the word “DAY”, don’t give it your own meaning. Bible words must have Bible meaning and not logical or dictionary meaning. The DAY spoken of in our running text will not be a “24 hours” Day, *IT IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE*! Let’s see a few texts from the New Testament that speaks about this ;

Acts 13:32-33KJV
[32]And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
[33{God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, *Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee*.

Notice, that, in Apostle Paul’s teaching here, He linked THE DAY OF GOD to the fulfillment of the promise made to the Fathers (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob), IN THAT *HE RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD*!

Hebrews 5:5KJV
[5]So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; *but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee*.

Same word mentioned above!

Jesus, in Matthew 6, taught what will happen in THAT DAY (WHICH IS THE DAY) 👇🏾

Matthew 6:11KJV
[11] Give us this day our daily bread.

We have a complete broadcast on this titled ; *OUR LORD’S PRAYER* (When you read it, you will notice that I said, THE DAY SPOKEN OF HERE IS THE DAY OF THE LORD, THE DAY OF SALVATION AND THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS). *IN THE LORD’S DAY WHAT WE HAVE IS DAILY BREAD* ; Now when you see DAILY BREAD; it doesn’t mean your natural bread or food. It simply means *Sufficient food*(Since Christ Himself is the BREAD He gives)! That means, Matthew 6:11 ought to be read like this ; YOU HAVE GIVEN US THIS DAY (the day of your resurrection, SUFFICIENT FOOD - This Food is His Spirit in our hearts)!

So, THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE was (is) THE DAY JESUS ROSE FROM
THE DEAD. The beautiful thing is that, *THAT DAY HAD A START, BUT IT HAS NO END*! *IN THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE, THERE IS NO NIGHT THERE* ;

Revelation 22:5KJV
[5]*And there shall be no night there*; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

The highlighted verse is not futuristic, *IT’S WHAT WE HAVE AND ENJOY NOW*!

See what Jesus said here again, about THE DAY,

John 14:20KJV
[20]*At that day* ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

‘AT THAT DAY’ would mean After His resurrection. Now, what will happen to us who are IN THE DAY (We would be indwelt by Christ)! Glory to God!

So THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE started from when Jesus rose from the dead. No wonder we who have believed in that work are called *Children of THE DAY* 👇🏾

1Thessalonians 5:5&8KJV
[5]Ye are all the children of light, *and the children of the day*: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[8]*But let us, who are of the day*, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

Because we are *IN* THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE (Meaning we have believed in His resurrection), that’s why we are called “CHILDREN OF THE DAY”- offsprings of God, partakers of the work of redemption etc, Just like our running text says , *OUR RESPONSE WILL NOW BE TO REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT*! Because we are IN THE DAY, we must always be full of Joy in our hearts. See, no matter how ‘bad’ your day goes, all you need to do is to *REMEMBER THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE* and watch the Joy of the HolyGhost overwhelm your heart.

See this 👇🏾,

1Peter1:8KJV
[8]Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, *ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory*.

We may not have seen Christ (physically speaking) , but because we are IN THE DAY, *WE REJOICE WITH JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY*.

Revelation 19:7KJV
[7]*Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him*: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

This isn’t futuristic; For in salvation (IN THE LORD’S DAY), we became the bride of the Lamb (Christ Jesus)!

So, THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE is a figure of speech for the completeness of God’s work in Christ, His resurrection, His sacrifice for sins, etc, *THIS IS WHY WE WILL ALWAYS REJOICE AND BE GLAD BECAUSE OF IT*!

Seen this?

Blessed by it ?

SHOUT *GLORRRRRRAAAAAYYYY*!

Grace & Peace.

DON'T PUT OUT FLEECES, STAND ON THE WORD OF GOD!

In knowing God's will for our lives as believers, we should, of necessity, give heed to the written word, and be led by the Spirit, and not by putting out fleeces. "Fleeces means, trying to know the will of God for your life by bringing Him into the sense realm!" Many believers are adapting to this because of what Gideon did in the old testament, and a lot of them are missing out on God's plan for their lives!

God gave Gideon His word that he'd defeat the midianites,

Judges 6:14&16. And the Lord looked upon Him and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites, have I not sent thee?
16. And the Lord said unto him, surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

These words from the Angel which appeared to Gideon seemed impossible to him because he felt his family was poor, and he was the least in his Father's house, so God couldn't use him.
But, the way man thinks is not the way God does. Thank God we can know how God does think by looking at His words from scriptures!

Because Gideon wanted to be sure he'd conquer the midianites, he then put out fleeces. Let's read one of them,

Judges 6:37. "Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou has said!"

Well, all the fleeces which Gideon put out worked in his favour. God granted him his requests!
But, this is NOT to be practiced by any believer today! You and Gideon are of different covenants. He was "spiritually dead" because he was under the law, but you are a "New creature" in Christ. He didn't have the HolySpirit to lead and guide him, that was why he depended on external factors to know the plan of God. But, you have the HolySpirit in you and with you ALWAYS!

Stop trying to bring God over into the sense realm, He is a Spirit, just follow the written word, and be led by His Spirit. Do not say; "God, if so and so happens, then I'll know you want me to do this or that!" What if what you expect to see doesn't happen? Then there's a possibility you'd miss out on God's best for you!

Stop seeking signs, dreams, visions and all. Although God can decide to speak through these mediums to you if He pleases, BUT DON'T SEEK THEM! STAY WITH THE WORD OF GOD!

We belong to a better covenant established upon better promises (Hebrews 8:6), we don't need to put out fleeces to know God's will because WE KNOW His will from His Word and we can be led by His Spirit!

Say these words;

I belong to a better covenant
I know the will of God for me
I see His will in Christ
I have the HolySpirit as my helper
I depend on Him for everything.

Glory!!!

Have a wonderful day!

JESUS, THE MAN OF WAR 🔥!

Exodus 15:3 KJV
[3] The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

This is a part of the lyrics of the song which Moses and the children of Israel sang after their deliverance from the bo***ge of the Egyptians. When you hear 'Man of War' , do not let your five senses interprete this for you. Because, this particular war here has a very important spiritual significance we must not miss.

If you read the post texts of Exodus 15, it spoke about the pride of the Egyptians seen in their utterance, and the victory of Jesus, seen in the fact that He delievered Israel, and their enemies perished in the red sea!

Now what's the significance of this ?

You know Egypt in the New testament is a type and shadow of 'the world' , 'Sin' or the 'Flesh' ..

Romans 8:14 KJV
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

When you see 'Led by the Spirit of God' , Israel out of Egypt was at the background.

Exodus 15:13 KJV
[13]Thou in thy mercy hast LED forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

Paul picked His explanation from the Exodus Account. That was why he mentioned 'Bo***ge' in Romans 8:15,

Romans 8:15 KJV
[15]For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

'Bo***ge' was the lot of the Jews before God sent Moses to deliever them.

The writer of Hebrews also saw Egypt as 'Sin' in a figure,

Hebrews 11:24-25 KJV
[24] By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
[25] Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the PLEASURES OF SIN for a season.

He chose to rather suffer with God's people than stay in Egypt [The pleasure of sin] !

Micah 7:18-19 KJV
[18] Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
[19] He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; AND THOU WILL CAST ALL THEIR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA.

Prophet Micah spoke this utterance with the Exodus Account in His heart. He prophesied of what will happen in the last days (the day of Christ's resurrection) , but He used what has happened before as a yardstick of what will happen. In other words, just like God delievered Israel and their enemies drowned in the sea, so He will deliever all those who will believe the gospel of Christ and cast their sins into the depths of the sea. This will now mean that, Sin, darkness, and the power of the enemy will no longer have dominion over us, because we are now in God's kingdom.

The war that God fought for Israel was in a realm where their natural eyes couldn't see. The 10 plagues which we saw in exodus, was God's victory over the gods of the Egyptians (we can't go into this details now). God, by the hands of Moses put those gods in their place, He conquered them ,by means of which He was letting Pharaoh know that He is the one-true God! Infact, Pharaoh was the last god to be defeated - this was the red sea encounter. No wonder Moses in His song said this,

Exodus 15:11 KJV
[11] WHO IS LIKE UNTO THEE, O LORD, AMONG THE gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

That means among the gods of the Egyptians! There is no one like ours, He rules and reigns even in the realm our natural eyes can't see.

Jesus, who delieverd Israel out of the hands of the Egyptians and their gods, did it again, but this time, by His blood (His life) ,

Colossians 2:15 KJV
[15]And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

This happened in the realm beyond the natural eye.
He disarmed principalities and powers, He took you and I out of the dominion of darkness, He took us as His 'Spoils of War' with the kingdom of satan the devil, that's why we are now in the light,

Colossians 1:13 KJV
[13]Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Just like He did when He delivered Israel out of Egypt, He did it again. Jesus is thesame, yesterday, today and forever , He did not change and He will not change ! His death and resurrection gave Him (and by extention WE) , the victory,

Hebrews 2:14 KJV
[14] Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.

He destroyed (rendered ineffective, powerless, useless) the devil who previously had the power of death. This was the war Jesus fought. This war was with the power of darkness and now saints are trophies of His victory hallelujah!

Observe what John said here,

Revelation 17:12-14 KJV
[12]And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
[13]These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
[14]These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Make war with the lamb? Do lambs make war ?
This is a figure of speech to show the effect of what the blood of Jesus did for us. The Lamb overcoming those who made war with Him speaks of what He did in His death and resurrection.

Revelations 12:10-11 KJV
[10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
[11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony...

It is by the blood of Jesus we became overcomers. Its with His blood He made war with the powers of darkness and conquered them, it is by His blood we now have redemption,

Ephesians 1:7 KJV
[7]In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Glory to God!

So when Moses said - *The Lord is a man of war* - The War He was talking about is a spiritual reality, it speaks of His conquest with the kingdom of Darkness, His victory over them, and His presentation of US as the proof of His triumph!

Lift your hands and give God praise for your Victory in Christ Jesus.

Remain blessed!

THE IMPORTANCE OF REPETITION !

The journey in Spiritual growth is vital for every man in Christ. Even naturally, growth takes time and process. When a baby is given birth to , it will take a lot of time and patience and eating the right diet for that baby to grow the way he/she ought to. Hence , Apostle Peter's words to us ,

1Peter 2:2 KJV
[2]As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.

Just like a new born baby will grow and moreso become healthy , so will the believer grow and become healthy in the things of the Spirit,by THE WORD.

Now , when you hear 'the word' , it is important you understand that , not every kind of 'Word' will effect spiritual growth in the lives of believers. What will make the believer grow is the KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST VIA THE WRITTEN WORD. Or we can say - Spiritual growth is in 'The knowledge of Christ' ! No knowledge of Christ , No Spiritual growth in view! Let's see what Jesus and other writers of the scriptures said concerning this ,

Luke 24:27 KJV
[27]And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Now , I won't go into full details of this explanation here. But what I want you to see is how Jesus explained the word to the two men he was teaching here. He expounded the scriptures to them (Genesis to Malachi) showing HIMSELF as the reason why they were written. That means , even our reading of the old testament should end at the revelation of Jesus ! If this is not so , then we can't have spiritual growth !

Hear Jesus again,

Luke 24:44 KJV
[44]And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

So , you can see again that as long as the Bible is concerned- 'OLD TESTAMENT/ NEW TESTAMENT' is about a man - The Man - Christ Jesus!

Let's hear Jesus One more time,

John 5:39 KJV
[39]Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Can you hear the master again ? He said the scriptures testifies about Him. It is in the testimony of Jesus from the old testament that we will find Spiritual growth. If our study of the old testament books doesn't end in the testimony of Jesus , we can't have Spiritual growth !

We have seen 3 references from Jesus Himself saying that the scriptures is centred around Him. The scriptures is not centred around money. It is not centred around breakthrough. It is not centred around marriage. It is not centred around influence. IT IS CENTERED AROUND CHRIST AND WE BEING FOUND IN HIM !

Hear Apostle Paul,

Acts 20:32 KJV
[32]And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

It's the word of His grace that builds the man in Christ up . Not just any kind of word. We must understand this very well , else we will miss it in our walk of faith.

Colossians 1:25-28 KJV
[25]Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
[26]Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
[27]To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
[28]Whom we preach.... "

The mystery which was hid under the law , has now been made manifest, and that manifestation is CHRIST IN US.

Spiritual growth would be seen when the believer is schooled about Christ who has indwelt him/her.

Let's see one more please ,

2Peter 3:18 KJV
[18]But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This is so clear - NO BELIEVER CAN GROW APART FROM THE KNOWLEDGE OF CHRIST !

So when you hear the word, what you should ask yourself is - Is this revealing Jesus? ...
You see , it is the revelation of Jesus that edifies and builds up the man in Christ.
..but , much more , it is the consistent REPITITION OF THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL THAT MAKES THE MAN IN CHRIST TO BECOME ROOTED , BUILT UP , AND ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH.

Let's see a few verses that has something to say regarding this,

Philippians 3:1 KJV
[1]Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

Apostle Paul says, to write THESAME THINGS , to preach and teach the same thing is SAFE. That means when any preacher becomes innovative with His message, the congregants can't grow. They will only become very stable when repetition is the order of the day. No matter how rich you are, you can't be eating different foods everyday. You'll repeat a particular food say three or four times a week! The more repetition we have via the word , the more stable the believer becomes.

Hear Peter ,

2Peter 1:12 KJV
[12]Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

The audience here knew the truth and they were established in it , yet we see this apostle reminding them. There is power in repetition brethren. To be hearing different sermons every Sunday is not safe for you. You need to be constantly reminded of who you are in Christ , what He has done for you, and how you can be effective in carrying out His bidding on the earth. These are the things that should flood our minds. We shouldn't behave like the world, which thrive by innovation, we thrive by constant repetition in the faith!

Hear Apostle John ,

2John1:5 KJV
[5]And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

He wasn't writing a 'new thing' ! He was only repeating to them , what they already know.

Even Jude did same thing,

Jude 1:5 KJV
[5]I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this...

Nothing new , just reminding them !

Those seeking new 'Rhema' are threading on dangerous grounds. You have to be satisfied with the truth of the gospel. Rejoice in it always...infact see this verse I love,

Psalms 119:162 KJV
[162]I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

We should put up same attitude.
We rejoice in the word like someone who has 'Blown' (or won a jackpot) 😆.

See this again ,

1Peter 1:8 KJV
[8]Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Though we haven't seen Jesus face to face , but anytime we hear the message that speaks about Him , we rejoice with joy unspeakable, full of glory!!!

Dear believer, stay one place! Be stable. Be content with repetition, it’s very safe for you.
Listening to various men of God with various doctrinal stands in the faith can't make you grow , all you'll have is 'Shallow Rhema' but no 'Depth' ! It is repetition that gives birth to 'Stability, establishment and conviction as regards our faith !

Seen this?

Place your hands on your chest and say after me

I'll be stable with the message of Christ.
I'll be content with His doctrine.
I won't be bored by repetition
Rather, I'll rejoice in it.

Blessed!

Amen.

CONSIDER YOUR BROTHER.

Christianity is beautiful. Its a community of all those who have been saved by grace.

Hebrews 12:22-23KJV
[22]But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
[23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.

We are all in zion, the city of the living God, it's an heavenly Jerusalem, we are all justified, all our names are written in heaven, our spirits made perfect via His resurrection. This is the status of every man in Christ Jesus. So, you can see that, indeed, in God's sight no one is better than anyone in His kingdom. We all have the Holyghost,

1Corinthians 12:13 KJV
[13]For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Notice, we all !

We are all called THE BODY OF CHRIST,

Ephesians 5:23 KJV
[23]For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

He is the Saviour of the body - HIS BODY..

Colossians 1:18 KJV
[18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

He is THE HEAD OF THE BODY.. He purchased us by His blood,

Acts 20:28 KJV
[28] Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, WHICH HE HATH PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD.

His own blood, and also here 👇

Revelation 1:5 KJV
[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

Glory to God!

But, in as much as we all are thesame in salvation, we are NOT thesame in spiritual growth. Some have matured more than others, some are still trying to grow, while others who just got saved need to be properly shown the way of sound doctrine.

Those who matured in the faith must be very careful the way the live, act and also conduct themselves, for this will go a long way in helping those who are still weak in the faith.

Romans 15:1 KJV
[1]We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Strong here will mean 'Capable' , its used here for those who are spiritually mature. This verse says *They ought to bear the INFIRMITIES of the weak* . "Infirmities" here isn't used for sickness and disease, but for a *weak* mind. Its about a believer who still has a weak conscience or whose mind hasn't been able to properly understand the scriptures. So those who are strong in the Lord ought not to please themselves, but to ensure that they do all they can to ensure the stability and betterment of 'young' Christians.

Galatians 6:1-2KJV
[1]Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
[2]Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

You can see again. The ones who are spiritual here would mean those who are standing strong in the Lord, they should ensure they restore that man. We must bear the burdens of each other. Rather than condemn the weak, we should do all to ensure that yes, they should be rebuked for falling into sin, especially if its open, but they should be restored in the Lord and in Love!

In 1Corinthians 8:1-13, Paul admonished some of the Corinthian brethren who had "knowledge" of the scriptures to consider the weak among them. In other words, they are not to eat things sacrificed to idols simply because the Lord doesn't want them to wound the weak conscience of some of them! Now, bringing this into today's world, those who are mature in the faith, ought to conduct themselves properly. If we do and say things that wound the conscience of the young ones in the faith, we are sinning against Christ,

1Corinthians 8:12 KJV
[12]But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Also read up Romans 14:1-23 [we can't explain this in details] !

For example there are some places you shouldn't go, not because you can't go, but because you don't want to puncture the conscience of others. You can't be caught living anyhow, dressing anyhow, you can't be caught quarrelling and fighting because you don't want to wound the conscience of others.

Whenever the strong believers behave in a certain way and the 'weak' say *Oh brother so and so* you didn't have to do that, I thought you are a man of God? ! You have wounded that fellow's conscience!

If the ones who have grown behave anyhow, eat anyhow, and talk anyhow, how do they expect the 'weak' to act ?

We must be sensitive not to do anything that will hurt another's conscience,

Romans 14:15 KJV
[15]But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

And here,

1Corinthians 8:13 KJV
[13]Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Here too,

Romans 14:21 KJV
[21] It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

This shouldn't just be applied for food and drink only, but in all areas of life!

Consider your brother! Consider your sister!! The weak are watching the strong, so the strong should ensure that through their conduct and manner of life, the weak would become more interested in growing in the Lord and becoming better in their conduct ! This is true Christianity.

Romans 14:19 KJV
[19] Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

We should do things that aids the edification of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

So if you are mature in the faith, apply caution. You might not know, but people are watching you. Young believers are watching you too. So watch how you live, watch what you post, watch where you go, watch the kind of friends you follow, etc. Your conduct plays a major role, it will either edify or Mar the conscience of others !

Seen this ?

Say ;

I consider my brothers and sisters in Christ
I do the things that edify others.

You are blessed !

THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB.

Revelation 19:9KJV
[9]And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

There is how God expects us to read His word. He wants us to read it properly with a robust understanding. The Bible is a book of ‘Words’ , this is why a proper and deliberate study must be done in order to understand the Words spoken. You see, the book of Revelation is one of the most misunderstood books in the Bible. I must say this very clear that; *the book of revelation ought to be studied with the remaining 65 books before it in mind* (Genesis to John’s epistles), for if this isn’t done, we may tend to give it our own meaning and enter into error!

Let’s investigate our anchor text briefly. Now, when you see the word ‘Marriage’ , some feel that IT IS YET TO HAPPEN and it will eventually happen WHEN JESUS RETURNS FOR HIS CHURCH ~ This submission is not true. Notice the text says ~ *BLESSED ARE THEY WHICH ARE CALLED* - ‘Called’ is a past tense (it means ; that which has already taken place).

What were they (we) called unto ? *THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB*! Who is the Lamb ? *JESUS* ;

John 1:29KJV
[29] The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold *the Lamb* of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

1Peter 1:18-19KJV
[18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
[19]But with the precious blood of Christ, *as of a lamb* without blemish and without spot.

So, is this marriage Now or after?

Let the word of God speak for itself;

Romans 7:4KJV
[4] Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; *that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead*, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Notice apostle Paul’s words - We are dead to the Law by the body of Christ, and we ARE MARRIED TO HIM who died and rose again so that we can bring fruits unto God- Apostle Paul was speaking about what has happened (the marriage) and what is happening (our bearing fruits unto God)!

Let’s see another text,

2Corinthians 11:2KJV
[2] For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: *for I have espoused you to one husband*, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

That word “Espoused” is a Greek word ‘Harmozō’ it means “To be joint with” , “to be married”! Notice Apostle Paul’s words - *FOR I HAVE* — meaning “The marriage has happened between the brethren in Corinth and Christ!

Observe the verses below;

Ephesians 5:23-27 & 32KJV

[23]For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
[24]Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
[25]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
[26]That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
[27]That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
[32] This is a great mystery: *but I speak concerning Christ and the church*.

Contextually, Paul was teaching about Christ and His church as BEING MARRIED and how our marriages today must mirror that reality. This is also another proof that THE MARRIAGE HAS HAPPENED!

Now, let’s read the pretexts of our anchor text,

Revelation 19:6-9KJV
[6]And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
[7]Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: *for the marriage of the Lamb is come*, and his wife hath made herself ready.
[8]*And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints*.
[9]And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

The highlighted words in verses 7 & 8 speaks of what has already been done.

Verse 7 ; “The marriage of the Lamb is come “ not “will come”

Verse 8 ; “and to her WAS granted…..(not “will be granted”).

Verse 9 will now make sense. The word ‘Blessed’ means to ‘be happy’, ‘fortunate’ or to be ‘spoken well of’ - that means, it’s such a blessedness to be CALLED into this marriage with (in Christ)!

Two more texts,

Revelation 21:9KJV
[9]And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, *Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife*.

The angel told John ; Come “I will show you THE BRIDE, THE LAMB’S WIFE” (not ‘wife-to-be’) - meaning, they are already *ONE* Supernaturally.

And here,

1Corinthians 6:17KJV
[17]But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

The word “Joined” has the undertone of a marital union!

On the account of our brief study, we can conclude that ; The Marriage supper of the Lamb simply speaks of our UNION WITH CHRIST when we believed in His death and resurrection. ‘Supper’ was used because John wrote to a Jewish audience(they usually conduct their weddings in the evening).

Any man who believes in Jesus becomes His ‘bride’ automatically. That man/woman wouldn’t need to wait for the ‘return’ of Christ to be married. In fact, what will happen at the coming to the Lord will be *TO CELEBRATE OUR UNION WHICH ALREADY TOOK PLACE AT SALVATION* - This is like what we call ‘Wedding reception’ today in Nigeria 🙂. Wedding receptions are usually between two *married people*. The ‘reception’ is to celebrate the marriage that has already taken place!

Dear believer, whilst it is good to anticipate and hope for the coming to the Lord, *ENJOY YOUR UNION WITH HIM NOW* - FOR YOU ARE ALREADY MARRIED TO HIM, *AND THIS UNION IS FOREVER*!

Glory to God!

Blessed!
