His Imperial Majesty, Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, Aka Ji Ovor Igbo 34th, Flag Off Alo Mmuo ( New Yam Festival) At Obu-Gad Royal Palace, Aguleri .

‎Yesterday, August 12th 2026, the Aka Ji Ovo Igbo 34th, His Royal Majesty Eze Chukwuemeka Eri and Members of Eze Eri -in-Council , Ndi Ichie Aguleri, celebrated the traditional Alo Mmuo, (Iwa Ji festival ) at Obu-Gad, Aguleri.

‎It was a solemn occasion where the Aka Ji Ovor Igbo Eze Chukwuemeka Eri, presented the year's yam harvest to the gods/ancestors of the land in thankfulness for a bountiful yield while urging them for greater harvest in the coming years.
‎
‎Recall that the Eze Eri as the custodian of the Igbo traditions and culture flags off the event of New Yam festival in Igbo land. It is after he has performed the New Yam festival at Obu-Gad, Aguleri, the home of the Igbo race that the people are free to celebrate.
