Painting description: God’s heart breaks with every injustice and inequity that is experienced in our world. His divinity does not exclude him experiencing deep sorrow and sadness. Life has complicated seasons and paths, and this painting attempts to capture the layers and implied chaos in and around us. What is true and encouraging is that our Creator is consistently present. Despite all the complexity and tension in the painting, when viewed from a distance, the viewer will observe a dominant overcoating of white paint – symbolizing peace and joy.⠀
