I Almost Lost My Family Because of This One Simple Kitchen Mistake

That day, I was cooking and decided to use my electric kettle to boil water for swallow. Suddenly, there was a power outage, so I transferred the hot water into my stove kettle and continued boiling it with gas.

Unknown to me, I forgot to switch off the electric kettle.

After cooking, we all ate and went to bed peacefully.

I usually set my alarm for 3am every day. That faithful night, my alarm rang as usual, but I was very tired and sleepy. I switched it off and wanted to turn to the other side of the bed to continue sleeping.

But somehow, the Holy Spirit nudged me to stand up.

Reluctantly, I got up and walked into the sitting room. Immediately, I perceived a strange burning smell and noticed smoke coming from the kitchen.

My sleep disappeared instantly!

I rushed into the kitchen and discovered that the electric kettle was on fire. What happened was that when electricity was restored, the kettle came back on automatically without water inside it. It became extremely hot and caught fire.

I quickly switched it off and poured water to stop the fire.

At that moment, my heart was racing. I kept imagining what could have happened if I had ignored that prompting to stand up… or if my alarm had not sounded.

Only God knows what the story would have been today.

God is truly faithful. 🙏

This experience taught me a very serious lesson:
Always double-check every electrical appliance in your kitchen before going to bed or leaving the house.

Please, don’t assume you already switched it off.
Check your:
✅ Electric kettle
✅ Gas cooker
✅ Microwave
✅ Blender socket
✅ Extension boards
✅ Pressing iron
✅ Charging appliances

One small mistake can lead to a dangerous fire outbreak.

Life has no duplicate. A few seconds of checking can save lives, properties, and years of hard work.

Please stay safe and make it a habit to switch off and unplug electrical appliances when not in use.
