Colour is often experienced before it is understood.

​In Full Colour brings together works of Sylvester Aguddah Sylvester AGUDDAH that explore the many ways we experience life through colour, gesture, form and abstraction. Within these works are traces of intimacy and distance, family and friendship, love and belonging, solitude and community. Some speak quietly; others demand to be felt.

​Here, colour is more than an aesthetic choice. It becomes a language; one that can hold emotion, memory, connection and even contradiction. A colour can comfort one person and unsettle another. A familiar form can evoke home for one viewer and something entirely different for another.

​Perhaps that is where the exhibition truly begins: not in what the artist intended, but in what the work awakens in us.
​What do we see when we look beyond colour?
What memories do certain colours carry for us?

Can a painting hold the feeling of a relationship, a home, a community; or a moment we cannot quite put into words?
​In Full Colour does not seek to answer these questions. It invites us to sit with them, and to experience the works in our own way.
