Morning devotion with the children at .0 🤍
Today, they were reminded that they are gifts and rewards from the Lord. As they grow in Him, He is shaping them into arrows that will be sent to the nations for His glory.
“Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.” — Psalm 127:4

Why Pray for the Unreached?
Unreached people groups are communities with little or no access to the gospel and few believers among them. Many have never had the opportunity to hear about Jesus in a way they can understand and respond to.
Prayer is one of the most powerful ways God invites us to participate in His mission of reconciliation. As we pray, God opens hearts, raises workers, creates opportunities for the gospel, and strengthens believers serving among these communities.
Today we pray for the;
1. Burmese in Myanmar Burma
2. Hausa in Niger,
3. Fulani Nigerian in Nigeria
4. Kanuri Yerwa in Nigeria

Burmese – Myanmar (Burma)
Overview & Beliefs
The Burmese (Bamar) people are the largest ethnic group in Myanmar and form the country’s cultural and political majority. They primarily speak Burmese, the official language of Myanmar. Family, respect for elders, community harmony, and cultural traditions play central roles in daily life. Many work in agriculture, trade, education, government, and small businesses.
The vast majority of Burmese follow Theravada Buddhism, often blended with traditional beliefs in spirits (nats). Buddhist monasteries and monks hold significant influence in society, and religious identity is deeply connected to Burmese culture and national identity.
Although Christian communities exist among some minority ethnic groups, the Burmese people themselves remain one of the largest unreached populations in Southeast Asia, with relatively few followers of Jesus.
Key Challenges
* Buddhism deeply intertwined with national identity
* Strong influence of traditional spiritual beliefs
* Social pressure against leaving Buddhism
* Limited access to culturally relevant Christian discipleship
* Political instability affecting Gospel ministry
Barriers to the Gospel
* Belief that Christianity is a foreign religion
* Fear of disappointing family and community
* Misunderstandings about grace and salvation
* Limited relationships with committed believers
* Spiritual strongholds rooted in Buddhist and animistic practices
Prayer Points
1. Revelation of Christ: Pray that Burmese people will encounter Jesus through dreams, Scripture, media, and personal witnesses.
2. Seekers: Ask God to lead spiritually hungry people to believers who can clearly explain the Gospel.
3. Families: Pray that households will become open to discussing and embracing Christ.
4. Believers: Pray for courage, perseverance, and spiritual maturity among Burmese Christians.
5. Leaders: Ask God to raise up faithful indigenous church leaders and disciple-makers.
6. Church Growth: Pray for healthy, multiplying churches that faithfully proclaim Christ throughout Myanmar.
