Before ironing a garment, always place another piece of fabric on it, called a pressing cloth. A pressing cloth protects the fabric from heat damage, shine marks, scorching, and colour transfer, helping the garment maintain a neat, professional finish.

Muslin
Cotton fabric
Calico
Organza (for delicate fabrics)
