This mosque is located in Kruszyniany, a village in north-eastern Poland close to the Belarusian border and it is over 300 years old!

It holds a special place for the Lipka Tatars, a Muslim ethnic minority living mainly in the Podlasie region. The mosque is the oldest Lipka Tatar (Polish-Lithuanian Tatar) mosque in Poland and is also considered an important cultural monument.

If you look closely, you'll notice that its architecture resembles a traditional Polish church, with two towers at the front and another smaller tower on the roof.

Right beside the mosque is a Muslim cemetery, where the oldest surviving gravestone dates back to 1699.

Today, the mosque stands as a beautiful reminder of the centuries-old Muslim history that exists in Europe, a history many of us may never have heard about.
