JUST IN: The Federal Government has announced plans to replace the traditional khaki uniform of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with locally made Adire fabric as part of efforts to promote Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and support indigenous industries.

Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, disclosed that the initiative aims to showcase Nigerian creativity, empower local textile producers, and strengthen national identity among corps members.

The proposed change is expected to blend tradition with modern identity, making the NYSC uniform a symbol of Nigeria’s cultural pride while boosting the Adire industry across the country.
