Some love stories start with spectacle. Theirs started simply — a match online, a warm hello, and an ease that felt familiar.

Chidozie saw her name and thought, "Chai, this one will finish my money." But conversation flowed — witty, warm, real.

She was deep in medical training. He brought steadiness — thoughtful words, reassuring voice notes, quiet certainty.

On their first date, minutes in, he said, "You're my spec, you know." She laughed, but she remembered it. He was intentional, she was discerning. They fit.

Weeks later he told his friend, "I go marry this girl." Years later in Hawaii, he did.

He designed her engagement ring himself — a marquise stone with leaf-like details and hidden diamonds, inspired by the roses she loves.

Their Igba Nkwu was exactly them: color, texture, music and joy at full volume, yet effortless. Chidozie and his brother designed their looks, every fabric and detail with care.

Hosted by Chief Bernard & Lolo Ijeoma Osuagwu for their eldest daughter, with Chief Sir Tony Okafor, his Lolo and kinsmen coming in full swing.

For the wine-carrying, her father presented a gold chalice he'd saved for this day — now an heirloom in their home.
