𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘀 𝗥𝗔𝗞 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗿𝘆

Four women in Badagry received an unexpected boost on Saturday as the Real Act of Kindness (RAK), an initiative of Mobolaji Ogunlende, fulfilled an empowerment commitment made earlier in the week.

The beneficiaries included Alhaja Mojisola Adeshina and Mrs Mary Lawal of Olorunda, who each received a freezer to support their businesses, while Mrs Oluwatoyin Bolaji of Badagry Local Government and Mrs Ajimoh Henjinnu of Badagry West received cash support.

Speaking during the presentation, the Programme Manager of the Badagry Women Development Forum (BWDF), Mrs Sekinat Ayeni, noted that the empowerment followed a meeting held on Wednesday where women's empowerment was discussed.

"We met with him on Wednesday for prayers and a meeting, where we discussed empowerment, and here we are today, Saturday, seeing the outcome of that meeting."

Reflecting on the quick turnaround, she added, "Koseleri ni eleyi oooo," a Yoruba expression meaning, "This is unprecedented."

The empowerment programme was carried out through the Real Act of Kindness (RAK) in collaboration with the Badagry Women Development Forum (BWDF), continuing efforts to support women and strengthen livelihoods across the community.

RAK Foundation Strengthens Educational Development in Badagry, Rewards Spelling Bee Champion 📚🏆

RAK Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing education in Badagry through its partnership with SMO Foundation during the 2026 Spelling Bee Competition, which brought together students from 21 public secondary schools across the Badagry Division.

The competition promoted academic excellence, improved literacy, and encouraged healthy intellectual competition among young learners.

To celebrate outstanding achievement, RAK Foundation presented a brand-new Android smartphone to the overall winner, Whenu Emmanuel of Lagos State Model Senior College, Kankon. The Foundation also provided additional educational incentives to deserving participants, reinforcing its commitment to rewarding excellence.

Peter Adesewa Sebasi of Badagry Senior Grammar School emerged as the first runner-up, while Adedoyin Adetomiwa David of Ansar-ud-Deen Society Senior Grammar School finished as the second runner-up.

RAK Foundation commended the Founder of SMO Foundation, Mr. Sinjeganji, for sustaining an initiative that continues to inspire students to excel academically. The Foundation also appreciated its Founder and Co-Founder for their unwavering support of educational development in Badagry.

Congratulations to all participants for their determination and resilience, and special congratulations to the winners for distinguishing themselves through hard work, knowledge, and excellence. Together, we remain committed to empowering the next generation through quality education and meaningful opportunities.

As the RAK Angels intensify preparations for their upcoming Softball Tournament, where they will compete alongside 16 teams from across Africa, RAK Development Foundation remains committed to supporting young athletes and creating pathways for them to thrive through sports.

To encourage the team ahead of the competition, the Director of RAK Development Foundation, Mobolaji Ogunlende, visited the training ground at Ibereko Barracks, where he cheered on the players and coaching crew during their preparations.

He commended the team for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence, noting that their hard work reflects the immense potential of sports development in Lagos and the opportunities it creates for young people.

At RAK Development Foundation, we believe that when young people are given the right support, mentorship, and opportunities, they can compete and excel on any stage.

We are proud of our RAK Angels and wish them success as they prepare to represent with pride on the African stage.

Every evening meal served is a step toward a world where no one breaks their fast hungry.

Through this Ramadan initiative, we continue supporting SDG 2: Zero Hunger, ensuring Muslim faithful in Badagry can end their fast with dignity.

Day 16 – Sustaining the Good 🌙

Ramadan is teaching us a powerful lesson: consistency in good deeds matters.

For 16 days, meals have been shared and hearts have gathered at the Badagry Central Mosque.

Day 16. Still serving. Still grateful. 🤲🏽

Day 15 – Halfway There 🌙🌍

15 days. Countless meals. Shared prayers. Strengthened community.

This is more than food distribution. This is dignity. This is faith in action.

Through this initiative, we continue contributing to SDG 2: Zero Hunger, one evening at a time.
