HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY!
Good Friday stands as the most somber and structurally pivotal day on the Christian calendar all over the world. It marks the day when Jesus of Nazareth was crucified at the Cross of Calvary, an event that theologians describe as the "Great Exchange."

SIGNIFICANCE OF GOOD FRIDAY

1. The Fulfillment of Prophecy
The primary significance of Good Friday lies in its role as the climax of the biblical narrative. Centuries before the event, Hebrew prophets detailed the suffering of the Messiah.
👉The Suffering Servant: Isaiah 53 provides a startlingly accurate depiction of the crucifixion, stating, "He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities" (Isaiah 53:5).
👉The promise saviour: From the casting of lots for his clothing (Psalm 22:18) to the fact that none of his bones were broken (Psalm 34:20), the events of Good Friday serve as divine "proof" of Jesus' identity as the promised Savior.

2. Substitutionary Atonement
At the heart of Good Friday is the concept of Atonement. Biblical law established that "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23). In the Old Testament, animal sacrifices were used as a temporary covering for sin.
👉The Final Sacrifice: Jesus is identified as the "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" (John 1:29).
👉The Substitution: On the cross, a "holy swap" occurred. The sinless Christ took upon himself the divine judgment due to humanity, allowing believers to receive his righteousness. This is why the day is called "Good" not because of the suffering, but because of the "good" outcome of salvation it purchased for the world.

3. The Tearing of the Veil
One of the most physically significant moments recorded in the Gospels is the tearing of the temple curtain at the moment of Jesus' death (Matthew 27:51).
👉Direct Access: This heavy veil separated the "Holy of Holies" (where God’s presence dwelt) from the rest of the people. Only the High Priest could enter, and only once a year.
👉Reconciliation: The tearing of the veil from top to bottom symbolized that the barrier between God and man was permanently removed. Because of Good Friday, humanity no longer needs an earthly mediator; we have direct access to the "throne of grace."

4. The Victory over Sin and Death
While Good Friday appears to be a defeat, the Bible presents it as a decisive legal victory.
👉Canceling the Debt: Colossians 2:14 describes Jesus "canceling the charge of our legal indebtedness... he took it away, nailing it to the cross."
👉Defeating the Enemy: By dying, Jesus entered the realm of death to strip it of its power. It was the necessary precursor to the Resurrection. Without the darkness of the Friday "death," there could be no glory in the Sunday "life."

5. A Demonstration of Divine Love
Above all, Good Friday is the ultimate revelation of God’s character. It answers the question of how far God is willing to go to reclaim humanity.
👉Ultimate Proof: As Romans 5:8 notes, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." It is the day where Justice (the penalty for sin being paid) and Mercy (the sinner being forgiven) met at the cross.
👉Reflection: Good Friday is the day the "Old Covenant" of law was fulfilled and the "New Covenant" of grace was sealed in blood. It is a day of deep mourning for the cost of sin, but profound gratitude for the depth of God's grace.

👉Finally, beloved brethren life is not worth living outside Christ who for our sins, suffered, bleed and died on the Cross of Calvary!
Let this piece of write-ups serve as a quick reminder or awakening for everyone living within the realms of sinful nature and dominion, to have a change of heart in turning away from sins as well as surrendering your life to Christ, He is willing to accept you back to himself today!
May the sufferings, death, burial and resurrection of our LORD JESUS CHRIST never be in vain in our lives in Jesus Name.
Shalom...

ACADEMIC SUCCESS, WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW✍️✍️✍️
✍️ Academic success is the culmination of a student's ability to effectively navigate the complexities of their educational journey, demonstrating a profound understanding of the subject matter, while cultivating critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. It encompasses not only achieving academic excellence, but also developing a deep-seated passion for learning, intellectual curiosity, and a growth mindset.

✍️ Academic success is characterized by a student's ability to set and achieve meaningful goals, manage their time effectively, and leverage resources and support systems to overcome challenges. Ultimately, it paves the way for personal growth, career opportunities, and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and self-improvement.

✍️Academic success is like mastering a complex Nigerian dish, though at first, it may seems difficult, but it takes time, patience, and the right ingredients to achieve your aim...

👉👉👉What then do l need to know about academic success???

✍️ Academic success isn't just about intelligence, it's about developing effective learning strategies, persistence, and resilience.
You ought to identify the atmosphere that favour your learning abilities and apply the habit of consistency!

✍️ Setting specific, measurable, and achievable goals can help you stay focused and motivated. You can learn all things effectively, but you can't learn them all at the same time, set out a specific assignment measured within your capacity and put effort towards achievement. Never get yourself frustrated in your learning ability by trying to accumulate all that is needed to be learnt all at the same time into you brain, break it into bit by bit. Remember slow and steady wins the race!

✍️ Creating a study routine and sticking to it can make a huge difference in your academic performance. Social media and some other fun-filled adventures can rob you out of using your precious time and end up wasting them unaware, getting a good study time table does not only help you to perform well in your academic pursuit but rather enable you to make a wiseful use of your time!

✍️ Active learning techniques like summarizing notes, self-testing, and discussing with peers can help retain information better. You may think of keeping those things you have learnt or understood without sharing it to other, but when you learn to use various strategies or techniques such as discussing methods, play way methods, etc, it will go along way in boasting your memory retention!

✍️ Don't be afraid to ask for help, whether it's from lecturers, tutors, or classmates. I personally practice this while still undergraduate then and it has really helped me alot, never feel being intimidated by anyone, ask questions in any area you don't understand, as questions even if you understand 😊 it will help to add more understanding to the one already gotten. Don't feel shy or nervous to ask questions cause it is better to be laughed at than to end up as failure!

✍️ Taking care of your physical and mental health, this is very crucial for academic success, It not all about doing TDB (Till Day Break reading) or all-nighters, these are not the best strategy to follow, identify the one that favour both your physical and mental health and stick to it!

✍️ Reviewing and adjusting your study plan regularly, this can help you stay on track! Don't wait still lectures time table or exam time table is out before being serious with your studies
Remember, when persistency, dedication and determination is right in place, success becomes inevitable!
Don't forget there is no shortcuts to any real success in life!
Shalom!!!
