Something happened during an interview today that really got me thinking.
A candidate was asked, How much salary are you expecting? She confidently said 30k.
Honestly, I was surprised not because 30k is insignificant, but because it made me wonder whether sometimes we underestimate ourselves simply because we are afraid to ask for what we truly deserve.
This is not about looking down on anyone or saying that everyone must demand a particular amount. It is about knowing your value and being confident enough to communicate it.
As educators, we invest years in acquiring knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience. We should also learn how to present ourselves professionally and negotiate our worth.
Sometimes, what holds us back is not lack of ability but lack of confidence in the value we carry.
Don't be afraid to say what you are worth.
Don't undervalue yourself because you are afraid of being rejected.
And don't let fear make you accept less than you deserve.
Know your worth. Build your skills. Keep learning. And have the confidence to ask for what your value is worth.
Opportunities do not always appear in obvious ways.
Sometimes they come disguised as challenges or responsibilities.
What may seem like a difficult situation could be preparing you for something greater.
The way you respond to opportunities often determines the direction of your life.
Stay open, stay prepared, and be willing to take chances when they come.

A Step Forward in My Online Teaching Journey.
Yesterday, I completed my first online micro-teaching session, and I am grateful for the opportunity to put what I have been learning into practice.
A special thank you to my tutor, Blessing Chinenye Otuonye , for your guidance, patience, encouragement, and valuable feedback throughout this journey. Your support has helped me build more confidence as I continue developing my skills as an online educator.
This experience reminded me that growth happens when we are willing to learn, practise, receive feedback, and try again.
I am proud of this little milestone, and I look forward to improving my teaching skills and becoming a more confident and effective online educator.
One step at a time. One lesson at a time. One learner at a time.

new month brings fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and take bold steps forward.
I am excited to share that I recently completed the Digital Skills and Strategies for Modern Educators Masterclass. This training opened my eyes to the possibilities of modern online teaching and equipped me with practical skills in digital tools, Google Workspace, AI in education, online classroom management, educational content creation, and more.
As I begin this journey as a digital educator, I am committed to learning continuously, improving my teaching methods, and creating engaging learning experiences that help every child succeed. Every expert started as a beginner, and I am excited about the journey ahead.
This is more than earning a certificate it's a commitment to becoming a better teacher for every learner I have the privilege to teach.
Thank you for following my journey. I look forward to sharing helpful mathematics lessons, educational tips, and valuable learning resources with you in the coming weeks.
May this new month bring growth, progress, and open doors for us all.
Happy New Month.
Every step is progress. 😊
I decided to practise using a digital whiteboard today. It wasn't easy because I don't have a writing pad yet, so I used my laptop mouse while someone held my phone to record the session.
It may not be perfect, but I'm committed to learning and improving my online teaching skills. Hopefully, one day I will get a writing pad to make the experience even better.
For now, I will keep practising because growth comes from consistency.
Our aim Is making learning fun and engaging
