The two-day training workshop focused on promoting whistleblower protection and strengthening accountability in Nigeria.

Participants learned that whistleblowers are heroes of society whose courage helps expose corruption, fraud, and other forms of wrongdoing. The workshop emphasized the importance of protecting the human rights of whistleblowers and creating a safe environment where individuals can report misconduct without fear of retaliation.

Participants were encouraged to recognize whistleblowing as a civic responsibility and an effective anti-corruption tool. Discussions highlighted the need for a comprehensive whistleblower protection law in Nigeria to safeguard individuals who report unethical or illegal activities.

The workshop concluded with a call for collective action to support whistleblowers, advocate for stronger legal protections, and promote a culture of transparency, integrity, and accountability across communities and institutions.
