“Last year with all my studies, I scored 169.”
That was what a JAMB candidate told me.
He had studied.
He had prepared.
He had spent countless hours with his books.
Yet when the result came out…
169.
Now imagine preparing all over again, putting in even more effort, only to discover later that there were important things you should have known from the beginning.
That was exactly what happened during one of my classes.
I gave this candidate what looked like a simple question.
He failed it.
And his reaction shocked me:
“I was shocked I failed that simple question you gave.”
Then he said:
“But sir, you are fully loaded.”
Then came the statement I wish every JAMB candidate would understand:
“Tutorials don't teach all this.”
And finally:
“Last year with all my studies I scored 169. But this time I'm aiming higher.”
Look at that screenshot again.
He wasn't saying he didn't study.
He studied.
His problem was that studying alone did not expose him to everything he needed to know.
And this is where many JAMB candidates make a painful mistake.
They wait until JAMB is very close before they start looking for information.
They spend months reading…
But never stop to ask:
“Am I preparing correctly?”
They solve questions…
But never ask:
“What mistakes am I repeatedly making?”
Then the result comes.
178.
179.
180.
And suddenly the questions begin:
“But I read.”
“I attended tutorial.”
“I don't understand how I got this score.”
That is the kind of regret I don't want you to experience.
Because sometimes the painful part isn't failing to work hard.
It is working extremely hard while missing information that could have changed the way you prepared.
That is why I'm holding our 2027 JAMB Success Seminar on October 5.
This isn't another session where someone will simply tell you:
“Read your books.”
You already know that.
We are going deeper into the hidden mistakes, wrong preparation patterns and important information that many candidates don't discover until it is too late.
This seminar is especially for you if:
• You have written JAMB before and were disappointed with your score.
• You are writing JAMB for the first time and don't want to start with the wrong approach.
• You studied hard before but still didn't get the score you wanted.
• You are a parent who doesn't want your child repeating avoidable mistakes.
• You want to know what you may be missing before the examination.
Please don't wait until after JAMB to discover what you could have learned before JAMB.
Because there is a particular kind of regret that sounds like:
“If only somebody had told me this earlier.”
And if you eventually discover that the information was available to you before the examination, you may keep asking yourself:
“Why didn't I take advantage of it?”
October 5.
Don't just prepare harder.
Prepare with the right information.
Seminar Fee: ₦2,500

99% of you are still living in the past.
Graduate.
Collect certificate.
Then start looking for a job that may not even come.
You spend 4–5 years asking, “How do I pass this course?”
But hardly ask the more important question:
“What am I going to do with this degree after graduation?”
The world has changed.
A certificate can open a door, but you still need to know which door you're trying to enter.
Don't wait until graduation before you start figuring out your direction.

Many Biochemistry and Microbiology students didn't stop dreaming of Medicine.
Their JAMB score simply got in the way.
So instead of staying at home for another year, they accepted another course.
“Let me just gain admission first.”
Now you're already in 200, 300 or 400 level.
The question is no longer:
“Why didn't I study Medicine?”
The bigger question is:
“What can I do with the course I'm studying now?”
And this isn't only for Biochemistry or Microbiology students.
Maybe you're studying a course you never planned to study.
Maybe your JAMB score changed your original choice.
Maybe your parents influenced the decision.
Maybe you simply accepted anything that would get you into university.
If that's you, don't spend the next few years only trying to graduate.
Start asking yourself:
“What next after graduation?”

My carbon copy eventually came into the world today. 😂❤️
After stylishly deceiving me and her mum on the 27th.
I honestly thought I was going to have a birthday mate. 😂
But this girl said, “calm down. I have my own date.” 🤣
And she didn't just inherit my baby face.
Na all my character she pack! 😂😭
Even her arrival came with drama.
Her mum's water broke a whole week before she finally started labour.
Then she still gave her mum two complete days of labour before deciding to show her face. 🤣
Apparently, she wanted to make sure we wouldn't forget the day she arrived.
My little carbon copy. ❤️
You have already brought so much joy into our hearts, and I pray Allah preserves you, guides you, protects you and makes you a source of happiness and blessings to everyone around you.
And may He grant you a life filled with love, peace, favour and countless reasons to smile.
Happy birthday, my baby. 🎂❤️

I had an extensive discussion with Prof. Segun Aina, the new JAMB Registrar.
We spoke extensively about some of the interesting initiatives he is working on to improve the system.
These include removing the current bottlenecks in the registration process, which would allow students to pre-register for JAMB from home and simply walk into any JAMB office for biometric capture.
He is also working on launching a complaint system where students can submit complaints and receive a response within a maximum of three days, as well as strengthening the integrity and reliability of the assessment process to prevent glitches and other issues.
This all sounds very positive, and I sincerely hope we get to a point where our assessment system operates with the same level of reliability and efficiency as those in other parts of the modern world.

Don’t ever believe whatever they say to convince you. Their target as we all know is to keep failing south east student because we got the brains and we are more educated.

Seen some of planned initiatives and I see progress particularly in their public relations aspect.
The approach of making educative video content is a very good one and their social media presence has greatly increased

“I HATED CHEMISTRY, SO I KEPT POSTPONING IT.”
This is how a weak subject becomes a bigger problem.
Monday:
“I'll read Chemistry tomorrow.”
Tuesday:
“Let me do English first.”
Wednesday:
“I'm tired.”
Thursday:
“I'll start next week.”
Then JAMB is close.
Suddenly the student wants to finish months of neglected work in a few weeks.
If there is a subject you struggle with, don't keep running from it because it makes you uncomfortable.
Your weakest subject deserves attention.
Not because you should study it all day.
But because avoiding a weakness does not make it disappear.
The topic you keep postponing today may become the topic you regret tomorrow.
What's that subject you hate to study?
YOU CHOSE IT BECAUSE OF THE CUTOFF
Maybe you didn't choose your course because you loved it.
You chose it because your JAMB score could enter it.
Your parents said, “At least gain admission.”
You said, “Let me just start first.”
And you started.
100 level became 200.
200 became 300.
Suddenly, you're getting close to graduation.
Then one night, you ask yourself:
“What if I had known better before choosing this course?”
That question can be painful.
Because you are no longer choosing a JAMB course.
You are living with a decision you made years ago.
But even if your beginning wasn't perfect, you can still learn what your course can become and build your direction from where you are
.

YOU WERE JUST TRYING TO ESCAPE
You weren't running toward a course.
You were running away from something.
Another JAMB.
Another year at home.
Another admission list.
Another disappointment.
Another conversation with your parents.
Another year of watching your friends move forward.
So when that course appeared, you said:
“Let me take it.”
You were not thinking five years ahead.
You were thinking about surviving the moment.
And that's okay.
But now that you're inside university, don't keep making decisions from the same fear.
You have time to stop.
Understand your course.
Understand your options.
Understand what you can build around it.
Don't let the fear that chose your course also choose your future.
This year ssce results ( both waec and neco) are bad sha

MY MUM SPENT 3 DAYS IN LABOUR BEFORE I WAS BORN. 😭
And apparently, I was the child that gave her the most difficult labour experience.
Let me explain. 😂
It was September 19.
My mum was already feeling labour pains, so she went to the hospital.
They checked her and sent her back home.
Seven days later, on September 25, the pain came again.
This time, she went back to the hospital.
And that was where my own wahala officially started. 😂
She stayed in that hospital and laboured for three complete days.
September 25.
26.
27.
Meanwhile, I was inside there like:
“Please, nobody should rush me. I’ll come out when I’m ready.” 🥱
Eventually, on September 27, I finally came out.
Years later, I asked my mum:
“Mummy, which of us gave you the most difficult labour?”
I was expecting her to mention somebody else.
But all fingers pointed at me. 😌
And what made it even funnier was that three of my siblings were born at home.
No three-day hospital drama.
No September 19 hospital trip.
No September 25 return.
But me?
I needed a full production. 😂
September 19: trailer.
September 25: main event.
Three days of labour: extended version.
September 27: the coconut head finally arrived. 🥱😌
But today, beyond all the jokes, I keep thinking about the woman who went through all that pain just so I could be here.
The woman who carried me for nine months.
The woman who endured those three days.
The woman who prayed for me, sacrificed for me and loved me.
Mummy, I wish I could sit beside you today and simply say:
Thank you.
Thank you for carrying me.
Thank you for the pain.
Thank you for every sacrifice.
Thank you for every prayer you said for me.
Today, I celebrate my birthday, but a part of this day will always belong to you.
Because I wouldn't have this birthday if you hadn't given me life.
And now that I can no longer say these words to you myself, I can only send this prayer to Allah.
Ya Allah, forgive my mother and have mercy upon her.
Widen and illuminate her grave.
Make her grave a garden from the gardens of Jannah.
Reward her for every pain she endured, every sacrifice she made, every prayer she said and every good thing she did for her children and to the people their part crossed
Ya Allah, let none of her sacrifices go unrewarded.
Grant her Jannatul Firdaus without punishment and without reckoning.
Ameen. 🤲🏽❤️
Happy birthday to me.
27/09/1994 — the day the coconut head finally came out.
And the day my mother's greatest pain became one of the greatest blessings of my life.
