7 CLASSES OF MINISTERS YOU SHOULD NOT HOST IN YOUR MINISTRY

One of the hardest things to build in life is ministry.
It is God that calls people into ministry but He builds ministries through people.
After you receive the vision for your ministry from God, what you do for the vision to manifest is left to you.

One of the things that can destroy a ministry easily is hosting someone that you should never have hosted in the first instance.

Don't allow anyone to damage the ministry that God has given to you and afterwards you try to do damage control. There is a level of damage that cannot be controlled.

The following are the people that you should never host or invite to your ministry if you desire an impactful and futuristic ministry:

1. SOMEONE THAT OPENLY PRACTICES, ALIGNS OR IDENTIFIES WITH SATANISM AND OCCULTISM:
Except you are an occultist or satanist yourself, don't host someone that openly practices occultism or satanism.
An occultist or satanist will pollute your ministry and leave a negative impact in your ministry.
It is a totally different thing if you are not aware or don't know. In this case, the mercy of God can help you.
However, a servant of God must be spiritually sensitive.
You can preach for an occultist or satanist if you are going to his 'ministry' with a right kingdom motive but don't ever give a satanist or occultist a right hand of fellowship on your altar or in your ministry.

2. SOMEONE THAT IS OPENLY HERETIC OR APOSTATE:
If you host an apostate or a heretic, you will end up sowing the seed of confusion in your ministry.
Your ministry must have a doctrinal direction and stability.
As a rule, don't host anyone whose teachings and doctrine don't align with yours.

3. SOMEONE WHOSE CONDITIONS YOU CANNOT MEET OR SOMEONE THAT IS PUTTING YOU UNDER UNDUE FINANCIAL PRESSURE:
There are some people that have very difficult conditions to be met before they could be hosted.
It is easier to host the 24 elders...

SEVEN THINGS YOU SHOULD ALWAYS ASK GOD FOR AS A SERVANT OF GOD

1. WISDOM
One of the greatest things a believer can ask from God is wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to function according to divine understanding and make decisions aligned with God’s will. Many people have opportunities but lack the wisdom to handle them correctly.
Solomon asked for wisdom, and it distinguished him among kings.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…” {James 1:5}
Wisdom preserves destiny, builds relationships, and prevents unnecessary destruction.

2. THE PRESENCE OF GOD
More valuable than material blessings is the presence of God. A man can possess wealth and influence yet remain empty without God’s presence. Moses understood this and refused to move without divine companionship.
“If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” {Exodus 33:15}
The presence of God brings direction, peace, protection, conviction, and spiritual transformation.

3. SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT
Not everything that appears good is from God. Discernment helps believers distinguish truth from error, divine opportunities from distractions, and genuine spirituality from deception.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God…” {1 John 4:1}
Discernment protects spiritual systems, relationships, and destiny.

4. A PURE HEART
God is deeply concerned about the condition of the heart. Many outwardly appear spiritual while inwardly remaining corrupted by pride, bitterness, lust, envy, or rebellion.
David prayed: “Create in me a clean heart, O God. {Psalm 51:10}
A pure heart keeps a man sensitive to God and capable of carrying divine presence consistently.

5. STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE
Life, ministry, purpose, and destiny all require spiritual strength. There are seasons where believers become weary through battles, delays, responsibilities, or opposition.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength…” {Isaiah 40:31}
Strength...

PASTORS ENGAGED IN OCCULTIC PRACTICES DISGUISED AS "SPIRITUAL WORK ARE DEMONIC

One of the dangers facing many believers today is the rise of individuals who mix Christianity with occultic practices while presenting them as "spiritual work." Some claim to be pastors, prophets, or ministers of God, yet they direct people to place their trust in objects, rituals, and practices that have no biblical foundation.
In some cases, ordinary items such as coconuts, perfumes, candles, soaps, powders, oils, and other materials are given mystical significance and presented as channels of supernatural power. While these objects may appear harmless in themselves, the concern arises when they become the focus of a person's faith or are used in rituals that contradict the teachings of Scripture.

The Bible consistently warns believers against sorcery, divination, witchcraft, and every form of occult practice. God never intended His people to seek power through charms, magical objects, or secret rituals. The power of the believer comes from the Holy Spirit, faith in Christ, prayer, and obedience to God's Word.
Jesus and the apostles did not teach believers to depend on fe**sh objects for protection, prosperity, healing, or deliverance. Instead, they pointed people to repentance, faith, and the power of God. Any minister who shifts a believer's confidence from Christ to objects, rituals, or hidden practices should be approached with great caution.
Believers must exercise spiritual discernment. Not everything labeled "prophetic" or "spiritual" originates from God. Every teaching and practice should be tested against Scripture.
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God." (1 John 4:1)

Our faith must rest in Jesus Christ alone. No object, ritual, or secret practice can replace the power of the Holy Spirit and the authority of God's Word. True ministry leads people closer to Christ, not into fear, dependency, or practices rooted in the occult.

ACTIONS TO TAKE WHEN A SPIRITUAL FATHER OR MOTHER IS MANIPULATING YOU

If you observe that a pastor is exerting spiritual control over you, take these eight immediate actions:

Spiritual control is a genuine concern, occurring when leadership shifts from guidance to manipulation. Here's how to safeguard your heart and your spiritual journey:

1. DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN DIVINE AUTHORITY AND MANIPULATION

Controlling pastors often employ fear to ensure compliance, issuing warnings about curses, failure, or severed destinies if you leave or question them.

If you find yourself unable to make personal decisions, whether large or small, without consulting your pastor out of fear rather than wisdom, this is a red flag.

2. MAINTAIN FINANCIAL BOUNDARIES

Be wary of any pressure to give beyond your means, incur debt, or relinquish personal financial control under spiritual guise.

Giving should be voluntary and joyful, never coerced through guilt or fabricated urgency.

3. SOMETIMES LEAVING IS THE WISEST CHOICE

Submission to leadership should never override your conscience or safety. If a leader persistently manipulates, isolates, or exploits, leaving is not disloyal; it is prudent.

God is not glorified by remaining in a spiritually detrimental environment out of misplaced loyalty.

4. PRESERVE YOUR RIGHT TO MOVE FORWARD

Healthy spiritual mentors encourage individuals to pursue their own calling, even if it means outgrowing the local assignment or transitioning to another ministry.

Controlling leaders view departure as betrayal. Your growth should never be seen as a threat by a leader who genuinely cares for your well-being.

5. REBUILD YOUR DECISION-MAKING ABILITY

If you have become accustomed to delegating every decision to a leader, retraining yourself to hear God and make decisions independently may initially feel uncomfortable.

Begin with small decisions and allow your confidence to develop. God is patient with this process.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A BAD PASTOR

Here are 21 traits of a deficient pastor, encompassing significant issues with personal character, leadership, family life, and biblical teaching.

EXPLOITS THE VULNERABLE

Utilizes pastoral counseling or access to members to manipulate, exploit, or abuse them sexually, emotionally, or financially. He exploits the trust of those he should protect and serve.

LACKS A PERSONAL PRAYER LIFE

Speaks about prayer but seldom dedicates private time to seeking God. His public prayers may sound impressive, yet his private spiritual life is lacking.

IS UNAPPROACHABLE AND ARROGANT

Keeps others at a distance and resists honest feedback or correction. He often surrounds himself with admirers who rarely challenge his decisions.

PREACHES FOR APPLAUSE

Prioritizes eloquence, humor, and emotional excitement over biblical truth. He may alter his message to please the crowd and gain popularity.

NEGLECTS HIS FAMILY

Devotes excessive time to ministry, causing his wife and children to feel neglected. Over time, this can lead to familial discord and resentment towards the church.

USES PRAYER REQUESTS TO SPREAD GOSSIP

Discloses people's private issues under the guise of soliciting prayers. He breaches trust by revealing information that should remain confidential.

CONTROLS THROUGH FEAR AND GUILT

Employs shame, manipulation, or threats of divine punishment to control members. Instead of teaching willing obedience to God, he pressures them to obey him.

SHOWS FAVORITISM

Grants special treatment to wealthy, influential, or flattering members, while the less affluent or influential receive little attention.

IS UNWILLING TO STUDY

Relies on old sermons, online outlines, or popular ideas instead of diligently studying the Bible. Consequently, his teachings may become shallow, repetitive, or inaccurate.

REFUSES TO ADMIT MISTAKES

Struggles to say, "I was wrong," even when evidence is clear. He may alter the narrative...

HOW TO CHOOSE A SPIRITUAL FATHER

1. Choose a father who believes in your kind of ministry, someone who understands what God is doing with you and will help you develop it, not destroy it.

2. Choose a father who can call you to order when you are wrong, not someone who praises everything you do. You need someone who can correct you without fear.

3. Choose a father whose life is worth learning from, don’t only look at the size of the ministry; look at the character behind it.

4. Choose a father who genuinely cares about your growth, not your usefulness.

5. Choose a father who can tell you the truth even when the truth is uncomfortable.

6. Choose a father who is not threatened by your growth. A genuine father celebrates when his son or daughter becomes better (doing well).

7. Choose a father who will teach you, not just use you.

8. Choose a father who has proven himself over time. Don’t choose based on one powerful encounter or one impressive sermon.

9. Choose a father who respects your assignment. He may correct your methods without trying to replace what God has given you.

10. Choose a father who can help you navigate difficult seasons, not only celebrate your victories.

11. Choose a father who has the courage to confront your weaknesses. Sometimes the greatest gift a father gives you is correction.

12. Choose a father who does not demand blind loyalty. True fatherhood should produce maturity, not slavery.

13. Choose a father who can keep confidential matters confidential.

14. Choose a father who is not obsessed with controlling your life, ministry, finances, or relationships.

15. Choose a father who will teach you principles, not make you dependent on him for every decision.

16. Choose a father whose success has not destroyed his humility.

17. Choose a father who respects other ministers. How he treats people who cannot benefit him tells you a lot about his character.

18. Choose a father who can pray for you without...

TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU SHOULD NEVER IGNORE AS A PASTOR

As a pastor, not everyone in your congregation requires the same level of attention, but certain individuals should never be overlooked. While growth, numbers, and excellence are important, discernment is paramount.

The categories of these individuals are:

1. The Quiet but Faithful - These individuals do not seek attention or compete for visibility, yet they embody the culture of the church. Neglect them for too long, and the backbone of your ministry will weaken.

2. The Wounded but Willing - They are not perfect and may struggle, but they remain teachable. If ignored, they may be swayed by the enemy through offense.

3. The Emerging Leader - They ask questions, show initiative, and are growing. If you do not mentor them, someone else will influence them.

4. The Discouraged Servant - Once filled with passion, they are now weary. A simple conversation can reignite their spirit, while silence may cause them to quietly fade away.

5. The Spiritually Hungry New Convert - The early fire determines long-term stability. What you instill in them during the first months shapes the next decade.

6. The One Who Is About to Leave - Not every departure is an act of rebellion. Sometimes it stems from pain, confusion, or lack of clarity. A timely shepherding conversation can prevent unnecessary loss.

Pastoring is not solely about delivering sermons effectively. It is about truly seeing and understanding people.

Jesus noticed the one in the crowd, the one in the tree, the one at the well, and the one about to deny Him.

A good pastor manages systems. A great pastor discerns souls.

Do not ignore what heaven is highlighting.

STRICTLY FOR GENERAL OVERSEAS AND SENIOR PASTORS

Due to mishandling, many leaders have faced betrayal, disloyalty, and two-faced associates in ministry today. Regrettably, these are genuine consequences of how leaders and churches have improperly managed gifted and anointed individuals.

As a result, churches have diminished. When gifted individuals are mishandled, they depart, and with their departure, we are left with lesser talents. Leaders who cannot embrace highly gifted, popular, and anointed individuals will only surround themselves with mediocrity, unable to achieve significant impact.

Continually losing your most gifted, anointed, and capable people will leave your ministry stunted. Some leaders, however, seem content with this.

When God calls a leader, He typically places gifted and anointed individuals under their guidance. Leaders are meant to be facilitators of the gifts, talents, and graces of others. They should encourage the weak, strengthen the feeble, empower the young, and enable the strong to flourish.

■ Under Potiphar, there is Joseph
■ Under Moses, there are wise Bezalel and Joshua
■ Under Joshua, there is Caleb
■ Under Eli, there is the visionary Samuel
■ Under Elijah, there is Elisha
■ Under Saul, there is the dynamic David
■ Under David, there are Joab, Solomon, and mighty men
■ Under Nebuchadnezzar, there are Daniel, Meshach, and Abednego
■ Under John the Baptist, there is Jesus
■ Under Jesus, there is the impetuous Peter
■ Under the Apostles, there is Paul
■ Under Paul, there are Timothy, Titus, and Demas

It is a divine principle that under a leader, there are greater and more anointed leaders. God, who shows no favoritism, often blesses leaders with individuals of exceptional wisdom, gifts, talents, age, class, experience, and anointing. They are not meant to make the leader feel inferior but to strengthen his hand and ease the work. Unfortunately, many leaders have been uncomfortable...

WHY SOME JUNIOR PASTORS ENCOUNTER DIFFICULTIES WITH THEIR SENIOR PASTORS

1. Lack of Loyalty and Respect for Their Senior Pastors:

If you struggle to show respect and loyalty to your Senior Pastor, conflicts will inevitably arise.

2. Attempting to Prove a Point or Compete with Your Senior Pastor:

Trying to demonstrate that you can preach, teach, cast out devils, or manifest like your Senior Pastor can lead to challenges.

3. Having Issues with Your Senior Pastor's Family:

Claiming to love your Senior Pastor while harboring dislike for his wife and children can result in your dismissal.

4. Holding Secret Meetings to Undermine the Pastor or Church:

Engaging in clandestine meetings to sway others against the Pastor or the Church will eventually be uncovered, leading to exposure.

5. Not Aligning with the Spirit of the Ministry:

If you are part of the Holiness of Christ ministry, for example, but operate as if you are still in your former church, you will face significant issues.

6. Overcelebrating and Publicly Promoting Another Senior Pastor's Ministry:

Focusing on another Senior Pastor's ministry instead of your own can cause friction.

7. Failing to Lead by Example:

As a church leader or worker, if you arrive late, ignore dress codes, or behave disorderly, you will inevitably clash with the Pastor or the system.

By avoiding these pitfalls, you can enjoy a harmonious and fulfilling service under your Senior Pastor. Understanding these key principles can help you win your Senior Pastor's favor.
