"No.... what's happening? Blood..." she couldn't complete her words when she fell unconscious.

FEW MINUTES LATER,,

Flora hummed a song as she entered the house holding the two big polythene with both hands, smiling.

The bags fell from her hand the moment she saw Ariel laying in front of the Stairs as blood surrounded the place she was laying.

"Ma'am... Ariel...." she stammered as she rushed to her, she quickly ran outside to call two of the guards, they came in immediately and they took Ariel away to the car.

She brought out her phone from her pocket and dialled Mrs Jones' number with shaking hands.

“Ma.. Jones! It's Ariel...."

HOSPITAL••

Mrs Jones entered the ward Ariel was in at once. Ariel was laying on the bed with both eyes closed, her clothes were changed already. her head was bandaged and drips were fixed on her body.

Mrs Jones was so nervous as she went to Ariel, caressing her face.

She quickly rushed here immediately Flora called her and judging by what Flora had told her,it seems like Ariel is expecting a baby.

But when she said she saw blood coming out of her body,fear gripped her whole system.

The female doctor came in and Mrs Jones turned to her immediately, searching her eyes for questions.

"Doc... how's my daughter in law doing? Tell me she's fine and I'll give you anything you want in this world... please" she pleaded and held the doctor's hands.

The doctor dipped her hands into her pocket and she inhaled and exhaled deeply before dropping the bomb.....

"Am sorry ma'am" she apologized.

"Why are you apologizing?"

"She was pregnant and..."

"Was?" she said slowly, staring back at Ariel.

"Yeah, she had a miscarriage and this happened because she fell using her tummy to hit the ground directly. Maybe if she was brought here a little bit early then she won't have lost the baby..she will be up soon and I hope all this won't affect her or traumatize her...

''I'm sorry once again" she bowed lightly and left.

"No...no... Ariel my dear" Mrs Jones called as she bent her head.

BACK AT THE MANSION•

Ciara smiled as she watched fredrick fall on the other side of the bed, sleeping. She wasn't feeling remorse at all. she rolled her eyes and came down from the bed, she picked her bra and panties then her clothes from the ground and she put them on.

"I didn't expect the drugs to work this fast and make him like this... " she said, looking at him. She bite her lips as she remembered what the lady who sold the drugs for her had told her.

"Don't inject the whole content in it, if you do so...it will make the guy lose control of himself totally and if care it's not taken he might lose his memory coz this drug is not as little as you think" the lady said, handing her the drugs.

"Okay,I've heard you. I'll add a little into the drink" she smiled and gave her the money before leaving.

But she did the opposite by injecting the whole content in it.

"But wait....I want him to remember what we both just shared an hour ago... hope it didn't affect his brain" she thought and grabbed her bag from the bed before leaving the room.

She saw Ariel bag in front of the room and she kicked the bag away, roughly.

"She must have seen us and stupid her ran out in tears" she said, climbing down the stairs.

Flora was wiping the blood stains from the ground and she was almost done. She looked up immediately she saw Ciara climbing than, she was still surprised that she's still here.

Immediately Ciara got down she stood up and held Ciara By her hands, preventing her from leaving.

"Are you okay? Let me go" she said and Flora pushed her lightly.

"What are you still doing here and what did you do to ma Ariel??" she screamed.

"Let me go now coz it won't be funny if I remind you again" she glared.

"I won't let you go till you answer my questions. You pushed ma Ariel from the stairs huh?"

"Excuse me... what the f-ck are you talking about?" she asked and she released her.

"I came back from the store a while ago and her saw her on the ground covered with blood... what did you do to her?"

"She must be so clumsy that she didn't look where she was going... that's good for her...I wish she never wakes up from that hospital or better still lose her memory " she giggled and Flora shook her head in disappointment.

"You're more evil than I imagined....I'm calling the cops right now...coz you're the suspect here,you need to be interrogated" she said and took out her phone from her pocket.

"Just a snap of my finger can make you and your entire generations wipe out of this earth In just a few second..if you know what's good for you,you better get out of my way now before I do the calling" she said and started approaching the door and she finally left.

Flora gulped down nothing. she didn't dialed the cops number, instead she dialed Mrs Jones number.

"Miss Ciara just left the house. I think she has something to do with Ariel falling from the stairs and the boss hasn't left his room yet......"

FREDRICK ROOM••

Fredrick groaned tiredly as he sat up on the bed. He held his head in pain as a headache from nowhere hit him.

"What happened??" He asked no one in particular and his eyes widened when he realised he was naked.

He closed his eyes as memories of what happened came running Into his head. He was having s*x with a lady but the lady's face was blurry.

"Was it my wife?" He wore his clothes and left the bed.

he was about leaving his room when he saw the glass cup on the bed stand. he walked slowly to the bed stand and he picked up the glass cup and he started staring at it strangely.

"This Glass... someone gave it to me..but who?" he dropped it back on the table and he left the room.

Flora was actually walking along the passageway towards fredrick room.

"Sir..." she called immediately she saw fredrick.

"Where is my wife?" he asked tiredly.

"Hmmm....sir, the thing is..." She shuttered not knowing how to put the words together.

"Sir...are you aware that Ciara just left this house a few minutes ago..."

''Wait.... Ciara came to his room and she hand him drink after few minutes he felt this crazy urge to have s*x and he kissed Ciara...then....hope it's not what's he's thinking" he thought.

"Where's Ariel?" He yelled.

Flora explained everything to him, she hasn't even finished when fredrick started running away.

"Sir... wait... you're still wearing your flip flops"

HEALTHY LIVES HOSPITAL••

Fredrick entered the ward, breathing heavily. Thank God there weren't much traffic jam on his way coming here.

"Mom... What happened!!!.. What's she doing here? she told me she was going to the hospital and she said will be back shortly...then what the hell is she doing here? Mom... please say something" fredrick shouted repeatedly.

"Where were you all this while when she fell from the stairs?" she asked, slowly.

"She..fell.. from... the.. stairs?"

"She did," she replied, sniffing.

"Okay, she fell from the stairs and am sure she's okay but is there something you aren't telling me?"

"She was pregnant before she fell ...."

"Wait... she was pregnant? Don't tell me it's what am thinking, mom... please "

"She fell from the stairs and she lost her baby...my grandchild" she said with a heavy heart.

Fredrick shook his head as he fell on the ground, his back resting on the wall.

DAYS AGO••

"What name do you think we should name our baby?" Ariel asked and he pecked her lips.

"Are you pregnant?"

"No...was just asking," she replied. "So what name do you think we should give him or her?" she asked.

"Madison.. because it would be a girl" he said and she laughed.

"Stop joking around love, it's definitely a boy and I think Nikki or Ricky will suit him"

"It's a girl first," Fredrick said.

"It's a boy coz am the mother"

"It's a girl because I'm the father...."

PRESENT DAY••

"Why did this have to happen?'' he said, diving his hands into his hair.

"Ariel!!!" Mrs Jones called the moment she saw Ariel blinking her eyes.

Fredrick stood up too and went to hold Ariel hand which was fixed on a drip.

"My baby..my baby is fine, right?" she asked,tears leaving her eyes.

"Ariel... should I get the doctor for you?" Mrs Jones asked.

"My baby is fine, right? the fall didn't affect my baby, right?" she questioned.

Fredrick wasn't saying anything, he was crying inwardly.

"Wait here you two, I'll go call the doctor right away" she said and left the ward.

"Ari...el" he shuttered.

"Is my baby doing fine? why aren't you saying anything?"

"Ariel...calm down"

"Don't tell me to calm down, you womaniser!!!" She yelled and before Fredrick could think of saying another word, Ariel held the drips and she removed it from her hand, forcedly.

"Ariel, you will hurt yourself," Frederick screamed.

"Don't tell me my baby is gone because if you do, I am killing myself right away... again...is my baby doing well inside me?" she asked in tears and held his collar tightly.

"Our baby is..."

"Don't complete it you womanizer!!!" She grit her teeth.

Shane looked at the way she twerked her ass and curse at him and he scoff.

"Is she trying to seduce her boss?"Shane said icily and smashed the tablet, heading home.

He sped on the road, ignoring the traffic light and reached his mansion fifteen minutes later.

Shane shove his hands on his pocket as the elevator dings and the door opened, leading to the sitting room.

"How dare that lowlife?"His burning anger fueled the more when he sighted her slippers.

His eyes roamed the room looking for her in rage as Ryan ran to him, hugging his legs.

"You're back daddy!"Ryan blinked his sea coloured eyes as Shane pulled him up and his old man (anger) died down as his cheekbone lifted high.

"Did you see the new maid?I mean a young girl about twenty three,a scarred neck and messy hair"Shane explained and little Ryan raised his brow.

"You didn't inform me that you'll employ a maid to take care of me,why did you do that?"Ryan rolled his eyes and forced his way down on his feet.

"Your dad forgot to inform his precious and cute looking baby"Shane squatted in front of him, caressing his palm but Ryan flinched.

"You know how much I dislike maids, their faces are too complex and scary"Ryan said immediately and walked out of him.

"I'm sorry..Dad is sorry"Shane voice echoed from behind as Ryan took his headphone and blocked his ear with music.

As Ryan sat on his bed,he flapped both legs as he wondered which maid his dad brought this time.

"I don't like babysitters!"He yelled, stamping his foot on the ground and threw some things at the door in anger.

Ryan Parker is his only son who he cares for the most and also the reason why Shane keep changing maid like diapers was because of him (Ryan).

Ryan has anger issue at the slightest thing and that's why he doesn't relate with outsiders.

"You have every right to get angry at me Ryan but make sure you don't miss your breakfast"Shane placed a soft knock on the door and left but the door creaked open and he turned his eyes back.

"Next time ask before doing anything rash dad and for the maid,I don't think I need her"

He said as Shane hugged him tight and nod his head in agreement.

"Once she break my no 1 rule, I'll send her packing right away"Shane thought inwardly and smirk.

"Are you hungry?Your tiny stomach rumble so much"Shane asked, touching his stomach and Ryan smiled awkwardly.

"Call of nature daddy!I wanna poop"Ryan said and rushed to the bathroom.

Sometimes, Shane wonders how he has such a brilliant and smart kid like Ryan.. Just maybe luck was on his side and morever he doesn't like kids who are dull.

NEXT DAY~6am *Morning

The alarm woke Arabella from the bed as she yawned tiredly and buried her eyes between the pillows.

She was weak due to stress though she haven't started working as a maid.

"Wait..What am I doing here?"Her eyes flicked open when she felt the texture of the soft bed.

"Does it mean I slept off?"She gasped and arranged the mattress before washing her face.

Her mind flew back to when she had her first encounter with him and she slapped herself so hard.

"Just how could you let go of your lifetime opportunity,huh?"She shake her head.

"I need to leave before Mr Shane yells at me.."She stutter when the door flinged open and her heart seized.

A masculine figure walked to her spot, smiling at her.

"Did you have a good night rest?"Shane asked and her eyes almost popped out.

I can't believe Mr Shane cares for me so much and he pretended like he loathes me so much.Arabella flinged her hair and stared right into his face.

"My beauty is mismatched right?I know that already, there's no need to tell me cuz my bestie experienced same thing like you"Bella winked and raised one of her leg on a chair as her palm rested on her jaw, staring at him.

She knows fully well that every morning her skin glows without applying serum on it and maybe he fell for it.

"You look so beautiful Arabella"Madam Ko voice was heard as Bella dropped her leg instantly and wiped the invincible sweat on her forehead.

She thought wrong but the heck,she doesn't expect Shane to ask her if she had a good night rest let alone striding into her room with smiling face.

It was an illusion.

"How thoughtless of me!"She bit her lips in embarrassment as Madam Ko sat her down, smiling at her.

"Do you have a crush on Mr CEO?"She shot at her and Bella gulped down her saliva.

"I don't have a crush on a jerk please,spare me that joke "Arabella stuttered, playing with her thumb fearfully.

She stared into Madam Ko eyes and shook her head, faking a smile.

"You're a bad liar, come here"Madam Ko hugged her as tears slipped down her eyes.

Arabella blinked her eyes, waiting for her to scold her but to her surprise,Madam Ko didn't.

"I'm so glad a good girl like you have a crush on the boss"She said and pulled away from the hug, fixing a strand of Arabella hair between her ears.

"Can we keep this secret between us?"Bella asked, feeling shy and they made a pinky promise.

"I need to go before the hotpan turn black and the kitchen filled with smoke"Madam Ko said more like a whisper as Bella waved at her.

In the living room,an old woman was sitting on her chair as she watched the tv with keen interest.

"Shane's company ranked second in cosmetics?Why is that so after I invested 1.5 billion dollars to grow the company at all cost?"Granny gritted her teeth as she tap the red button on a remote and the tv automatically switched off.

"Hey,what have you been doing all these wasted month?How could you allow Eagles investment beats you in terms of cosmetic and furniture"She yelled at Shane over the phone who kept mute.

"Find your voice grandon"She said as Shane replied, knowing his tactics won't work on her.

"I gathered information every nook and cranny and I discovered the Eagles did suck three guys from my team who sold my new cosmetic plan for their selfish gain"Shane said.

"They stole your cosmetic plan?How dare they?"She ended the call and pressed the green button and the TV screen showed.

She was obviously boiling with anger but she manage to cope with the breaking news as Lucy pressed the doorbell.

"Who's ringing the doorbell?"Granny asked as Lucy indicated and she let her in.

"Did Shane visit you?"Lucy asked, dropping a nylon filled with grapes which she held two seconds ago.

Granny shook her head and take one of the grapes and munched quietly.

"You're hard-working Lucy,I heart you so much.."Granny stood and pecked her forehead before scanning her face dizzily.

"What's wrong?Are you hurt?"Lucy asked and sat close to her.

"My head ache so much"Granny whimper as Lucy dialled the family doctor's line and luckily he picked up.

Thirty minutes later, the doctor ran test on her as Lucy continued pacing up and down.

"Is just a slight headache lui"Granny said as the young man wearing white clothes dropped his material.

"She's fine"the doctor confirmed and Lucy butts met the chair immediately.

"I told ya that am fine Lui"Granny said but Lui ignored her, suffocating her with a thank you hug.

Shabby Room~6pm

"Hi,dad..I missed you so much"Arabella said and rushed to him while he removed his apron.

"You got back earlier than I thought,did you offend your boss?"Mr Bright creased his brow.

"No,I didn't..was a bit tired"Bella replied when her phone rings the second time.

"Why did you leave Ryan all by himself? Come back here to the mansion before 7:20 or else you're fired!!"Shane said icily and ended the call.

That jerk!

"Dad..I need to leave now"She took her bag and stopped a taxi, just the moment she let Elena walked in.

Arabella strode to Shane's mansion and gasped in relief that she wasn't a minute late.

"Ryan I'm back!"She said, opening the door and her eyes widened when she saw the billionaire devil leaning on a wall,his face was looking pale.

"You.. You're burning up"Arabella stutter as her palm went straight to his forehead.

"Get away from me!!I hàte those who don't know their limit"Shane stated weakly and tried standing but ended up falling.

She caught him by the hand and he pushed her away like a plague which earned bruises on her palm.

"When I'm in pain, don't ever come close to me or try to act good that's rule no 2"Shane said angrily and without looking back,he strode to his room though still shaking at every step he takes.

Arabella looked at her palm and bit her lower lip as tears like ocean welled her eyes.

"You're so mean jerk!"She cursed under her breath, staring at her bruised palm.

NEXT MORNING~7am

Her bedsheet was soaked with tears as she woke up, feeling dizzy.

She didn't bother to apply first aid kit that's why the wounded area spread on her palm.

She stride to the kitchen and prepared beefed stew and rice.

"It hurt so much"She winced and placed few knocks on Ryan's door.

"Can I come in?"She asked but got no reply from him.

It's normal to her and truth be told,she has adapted to his mute attitude.Since she resumed her work as a maid three days after,in her boss mansion,Ryan hadn't talked to her.

"Your babysitter is here"She knocked again but Ryan didn't answer.

She decided to open the door and her eyes widen when she saw Ryan backfacing her and sobbing.

"What's wrong?"Arabella asked, squatting near him and Ryan looked away.

"Can I ask for a favor?"Ryan turned to her as she felt butterflies in her tummy.

Those five word "Can I ask for a favor?" was a pain relief to her.

The billionaire devil's son isn't a mute!Bella partyed in her mind.

"What do you want? I'll do anything you ask for your sake"Bella rapped out of excitement and crossed her heart.

"Are you sure you'll do what I want?"Ryan asked in tears.

What's this lad saying? I'll do anything within my power to get your favor done..Bella partyed in her mind.

"Yes,for your sake"She smiled at Ryan who lit his face a little.

"Dad is terribly sick but he won't accept..I need you to babysit him not me for today"Ryan pleaded and her jaw dropped flatly.

"B.. Babysit Sh- Shane.. like in his room"She swallowed hard as Ryan blink his long lashes.

"Won't you do it?"Ryan asked energetically, and his hazel eyes sticked to the ground.

8PM, NIGHT, FREDERICK MANSION••

Frederick quickly hid the diary he was reading under the pillow immediately he saw Ariel coming in.

She was just coming back from the bathroom after she had brushed her teeth.

"What's wrong, love?" she asked and sat close to him.

Ariel no longer goes to her room again,this room belongs to both of them now.

"Nothing, wifey," he said and held her waist.

"Are you sure? Why do I feel like you're hiding something from me?" she asked.

"Do you really want to have s*x with your boyfriend or husband under the shower?" He asked and she gasped, sitting upright.

"How.. did..you.. know?" she asked with shaking lips.

"Does where I got that from really matter? I think we should just go to the shower and have s*x, yunno?" he smirked.

"Frederick..., don't tell me you read my diary? Wait...is my diary there with you?" she asked and before he could say anything, Ariel placed her hand under the pillow and she brought out the diary with a surprise look on her face.

"Why did you read it...gosh?" she said, hitting him with it.

Fredrick held her hands and he brought his face closer to hers, staring at her eyes.

"You planned on doing many things with your boyfriend, Right?" He asked and she nodded.

"Well I'll fulfil all your wishes one after the other, starting with having a hot make out in the warm shower" he said and he stood up from the bed and started taking her to the bathroom.

"No!!!...I only said that just so I can at least have something in my diary, don't take it too personal...drop me down!!!!" both laughed as they entered the bathroom.

THREE WEEKS LATER, MORNING••

Ariel held her tummy as she came out of the bathroom tiredly. This will be the third time she's coming from the bathroom after throwing up.

"I think I need to see the doctor.. this is getting more serious than I imagined" she said, grabbing her towel.

"You really need to love. You've been throwing up,are you sure you didn't eat something bad yesterday?" he asked worriedly.

"We both ate the same thing last night and see no reason why I'm the only one it's affecting" she said weakly.

Fredrick held her face and he kissed her forehead, lightly.

"Go have your bath and come downstairs to eat breakfast, okay" he said and hugged her.

DINING ROOM•••

Ariel used her fork to pick out the pickles, irritatingly.

"Why did ma Flora added pickles in it?.. gosh" she said and frederick paused to look at her.

"Are you being serious right now?" he asked surprisingly.

"Am serious, love. It's so irritating to me, just take a look at how green they are... ewww" she said and dropped the cutlery on the table loudly.

"Okay this is getting out of hand. The last time I remember,you have always loved pickles and you always want it to be added to your food but all of a sudden it now irritates you?" He said and she stood up angrily.

"Did you just raise your voice at me?" she shouted angrily.

"I didn't love,I was only...."

"Really?? Are you saying I am lying? " she said pointing to her chest.

"I'm sorry , okay,I won't talk to you in that manner again" he apologised.

"I've forgiven you already" she smiled and looked at the food again. "Love, can you get me something else to eat because I don't want to eat homemade food?" she pouted.

"You don't want homemade food? What then do you want? " he asked frustratingly.

"I want to eat something else like outside meals... hmmm... African dishes'' she said and his eyes widened.

"Africa what?"

"I want that right now..." she said, picking her nails.

"I'll ask my guards to get it for you, " he said.

Ariel picked her fork and she took a pickle and she started eating it with the rice.

"I thought you said you don't like pickles..."

"Did I say that? When?"

"You really need to see the doctor," he muttered.

FREDERICK MANSION,11PM••

Ciara smirked as she came down from her car, she took off her shade and her cat walked to the door.

The guards opened the door for her after telling them Frederick asked her to come and she had something important to tell Fredrick and she entered. She looked around the house and Chuckled.

"This house will be mine soon," she said inwardly.

Flora rushed out of the kitchen with a glass of strawberry juice in her hand. She raised brow immediately when she saw Ciara.

"Ma Ciara, it's been long since you came here,any problem?" she asked.

"Is Frederick in?" she asked instead and she nodded.

"Did he ask you to bring strawberry juice for him?" Ciara asked, pointing to the drink.

"yes he did. since you're going to meet him upstairs,why don't you help me to give him" she said, giving her the drink.

"really? I'll gladly do that" she said, taking the drink slowly.

"I want to rush to the supermarket to get some things, I'll be back shortly." she said and she nodded.

*she just made my plans so easy* she thought as she watched her leave.

As soon as she left, she opened her bag and brought out a syringe from it and she injected something into the drink.

Fredrick sat on the bed, checking out some documents on his laptop. Ciara opened the door slowly.

"Here is your drink" she said, handing him the drink and he took it from her, gulping all at once.

"thanks" he said and gave her the glass without even looking at her.

"Are you so busy that you don't notice me?" Ciara asked as she sat on the bed and he looked up at once.

"Ciara!!!!" he called angrily, shutting the laptop.

"Long time no see" she smirked.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he shot and she stood up.

"Nothing much... just came to say hi to my best friend" she laughed.

"I knew something was off when you stopped bothering me for almost a month now. Again, what are you doing in my house?"

"Relax dude..."

"I am serious here. My wife will be here shortly and I don't want her to see you here,get out!!" he said and she scoffed.

"I'm not leaving" she said and folded her arms under her chest.

"You want it the hard way, right? then am giving you that" he said and he started dragging her towards the door.

" ouch...my hand... you're hurting me" she yelled, trying to free herself from his hold.

Frederick started feeling something strange inside him and he stopped, releasing her hand.

"Woah,I didn't know it would react this fast" she thought and held his face.

"Freddy, are you okay?" she asked seductively and Fredrick grabbed her face, slamming his lips on hers and she smiled as she responded slowly.

A bright smile plastered on Ariel's face as she kept on remembering what the doctor had told her at the hospital. She couldn't contain her joy because this is the best news ever.

"You're three weeks gone, ma'am." Those were the words the doctor had said.

No wonder she's been craving different kinds of meals and an increase in different parts of her body, mostly her b--bs and wait. She hasn't even seen her period this month.

how could she not notice all that.

The driver finally entered the mansion and she didn't even wait for him to open the door like he normally does.

She opened the door and started climbing the stairs, walking straight to the room.

She started hearing strange noises coming from their room, as she walked further the sounds increased. she just hoped it's not what she's thinking.

Her hands flew to her mouth as an ocean of tears fell from her eyes. Her bag and the test results fell from her hand as she saw what was in front of her.

Ciara legs were wrapped around Frederick waist.Frederick was riding her p-ssy fastly. They seem to be enjoying it because they didn't even bother to lock the door.

"No..no... this can't be true, right." She shook her head sideways. "Was this the reason he asked me to go to the hospital for a checkup so he can have his way with his best friend?" she said, taking a few steps backward.

She wasn't even sure of where she was going. She tried reaching for the rails in the stairs but her Hands missed that particular place and she found herself rolling down the stairs.

"Argh!!!" she screamed in tears as she held her tummy.

Her stomach hit the ground the moment she finally got to the ground. She was breathing heavily and she couldn't even sit up. she started feeling something weird under her and she dipped her hands into her gown, bringing it out she saw blood.

"No.... what's happening? Blood..." she couldn't complete her words when she fell unconscious.
