But when you ask Hans what makes him proud, it is often found in something very simple: the orange boxes leaving our atelier every week.

And yes, boxes he still helps pack himself.
That says everything about the way we work. No distance from the process, no mass production, no shortcuts. Just people who know the product, understand every step and care about every detail.
What once started small has grown into something that now travels far beyond Breda.
Built with patience, precision and dedication.

With OptiClip, an optical frame can easily be transformed into a stylish sun solution, without the need for a second complete pair of glasses.
Every OptiClip is custom-made in our atelier in Breda. The shape, curve, colour and finish are carefully matched to the frame and to the customer’s wishes.
What may look like a small and simple product is actually full of detail. From digitally measuring the frame shape to creating the rim and lenses, mounting the bridge and hooks by hand, and finishing the clip in the chosen colour.
Every part has to be just right.
That combination of technique, precision and handwork is what makes every OptiClip truly custom-made.

And all of it happens right here. In Breda.
In a world where almost everything is automated, scaled and sped up, we still believe in making things by hand. Because the fit, the finish and the smallest details are not decided by a machine. They are felt, adjusted and perfected by people.

This one started with a question. What if you took the most subtle colour on the frame and brought it forward? 👁️
Together, Magali and Marion looked at this l.a. Eyeworks frame and found it. That greenish, almost camouflage quality. And hidden within it, a warm ochre tone that was barely there.
Barely there, until the clip made it impossible to ignore.
That's the thing about colour. Sometimes it doesn't need to shout. It just needs the right partner to bring it out.
This is what we love doing.

Decades of experience. But ask Hans what he's most proud of, and he'll point to the stacks of orange boxes leaving the door every week.
The same boxes he helps pack himself.
That says a lot about who he is. Not someone who stands above the process, but someone who's part of it. He knows every step, every detail, every person on the floor.
What started in a small attic room has quietly grown into something that reaches far beyond borders. Something built with patience, knowledge and a lot of dedication.
We're proud of that. And so is Hans. 🧡

A small team moving mountains in tiny details. 🙌
Especially in high season, everything comes down to movement. Clips need to be measured, shaped, soldered, polished, sprayed, checked and sent out. Preferably as smoothly as possible.
That only works when people know when to step in, help out and switch gears.
And that’s exactly what happens here. Someone sees what needs to be done, and picks it up. No big speeches, no fuss. Just a team that knows each other, trusts each other and keeps going together.
That’s the strength of OptiClip.
Small enough to feel personal, skilled enough to make a real difference.

At OptiClip, we love playing with colour. In clips, in lenses and in combinations you might not expect at first. 🎨
Still, most people start safe. A black frame, a black clip. Clean, practical and easy to wear.
We get it. But what we’re seeing more and more, especially now in high season, is people choosing RAL colours that feel a little more personal.
A deeper tone, a softer contrast, a shade that brings the whole frame to life.
Especially with classic, understated glasses, a coloured clip can completely change the look. It takes something functional and makes it feel considered.
You don’t have to go bold. Sometimes, one step beyond black is already enough.
