Today we have officially opened the expansion of our Truganina facility in Melbourne, increasing the combined capacity of our Melbourne operations to 405,000 pallet positions.

The opening marks another milestone in NewCold's continued investment in Australia since entering the market in 2017. Founder and CEO Bram Hage, Karthi Karthigeyan, Vivek Rajendran and Jos van Rijswijk joined colleagues, customers, partners, and government representatives to celebrate the occasion.

NewCold's new Bucharest warehouse is set to become the most advanced automated high bay cold storage facility in Romania and the wider Balkan region.

With capacity for 75,000 pallets and a daily throughput of up to 10,000 pallets, the facility will provide automated storage, transport, picking, labelling, copacking and other value added services designed to meet the evolving needs of food producers and retailers.

Developed in response to both customer demand and the growing need for modern cold chain solutions in Romania, the site will strengthen connections across Central and Eastern Europe through NewCold's international transport network.

Once fully operational in early 2027, Bucharest will play a key role in supporting a more efficient, resilient and sustainable food supply chain.
