Brech

Brech is the jewelry label of Brechje Vermaat (1979) and Maarten Versteeg (1980). They both graduated as Industrial Design Engineers from the Technical University of Delft, besides that they were schooled as goldsmiths. In their designs they combine craftsmanship and technical knowhow. ‘Brech is our laboratory. As Industrial Design Engineers we look at design as ‘problemsolving’ within a fixed context. Using the same approach and high-end technology in a less fixed context – such as jewelry - opens interesting new opportunities’.
