Strictosensus

In " The Daughter of Vercingetorix ", the commander Strictosensus pictured on the right, commands a Roman galley that has been commissioned to control a sea area off Aremorica because Vercingetorix 's daughter , Adrenaline , is planning to escape from Gaul . On page 26, his foster son Ludwikamadeus becomes aware of a signal from Miesetrix , whereupon he allows his son to set the pace for the rowers. He sums up his experiences with Ludwikamadeus to his adjutant Rundheraus in such a way that it is not always easy to educate a little Goth to become a Roman. When he orders the boarding bridge to be lowered, Asterix and Obelix attack the legionnaires on the galley and win the battle on the ship. At the end of the adventures of Julius Caesar , he reports that the daughter remains with the Gauls and remains under their protection. In the original French, the character is called "Strictosensus", which alludes to "stricto sensu". In German, this means something like "strictly".
